Hele aardige gastvrouw die met passie haar werk doet. Ze vertelt in het engels wat de gerechten van de dag zijn en doet haar best om voor je te zorgen. Het eten smaakt goed. Ik heb biefstuk met ei gehad en vroeg om groentes in plaats van salade en kreeg dit netjes. Ook merk je dat veel locals daar komen, dus dan zit het goed. Prijs is heel goed. Biefstuk met ei groentes friet en rijst, cola zero, poncha en Ginja voor nog geen 15 euro. Zeker aan te raden. Er zijn wel maar weinig tafels buiten en aangezien er ook de vaste locals komen zal er niet altijd plek zijn.

Off one of the back roads away from centre of Funchal is this little cafe with el fresco dining & I could smell the food from quite away down the road. The lady who served me spoke very good English & I didn't need to try using my newly learned Portuguese lingo from my phrase book. I just wanted a hamburger. The lady bought me a hamburger with egg, cheese, tomato & lettuce & a good sized beef burger patty. I totally enjoyed.I hung on a bit as the locals clearly like this place & I enjoyed catching the vibe. Would definitely visit again.

A lovely lunch place in central Funchal. I had my morning coffee there and came back for dinner - I had a delicious home made beef stew, which topped dishes I had at Funchal’s restaurants. Prices aren’t very high, and there is a good selection between fish, veggie and meat dishes. The atmosphere is laid back. Gabriela is a very sweet lady, I can’t wait to visit them again.

Amazing food and service at a very affordable price. It’s next to a street so a bit noisy but I would definitely recommend it as an easy lunch place for some naive food.
