O Barracão bar & restaurant

We took a break here while exploring Madeira. The Bar / Restaurant popped up at my Google maps and it was worth stopping by! Beautifully located in nature, modern Ambiente and good food & drinks! I had the vegetarian burger you see on the picture and it was delicious! From coffee to cocktails, from snacks to a full on menu - everyone will be pleased!

Super place, top food, zero waiting.
We were particularly surprised by the pure vegetarian choice, which is not at all a given in Madeira.

Great place surrounded by nature, after the Pico de Areeiro hike it was great. The toast was a little light but otherwise very good, very good value for money. The service was impeccable, the servers very smiling.

As you drive up to Pico do Arieiro the cafe is just above the Guarda forestall. It has car access parking and great for kicking or biking from that point.

A great place for a snack (we were there at lunchtime), great burgers for a bargain price, but I have no doubt the other food is super as well, see other comments. All service with a smile, quick, easy. Great ambiente with a "lodge" touch. Mind the potholes on the access road ?. Definitely recommended! Great stopover going from Funchal up into the mountains (or back down).

Dropped in for a fast stop before a hike. Homemade passionfruit lemonade is super tasty, and bolo with wine pork is a delish. Staff is super friendly, and views are a blast.

Bit of a secluded gem. It's a super cozy bar/restaurant with a nice view. The staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy what they do. My beef sandwich ? was really tasty and the fries were super crispy! Loved it!
