Service was good but the coffee was extremelly bitter, no aroma, no natural flavour. Nothing close to what you can get in continental Europe. But this seems to be a given in Funchal.

Headed here for breakfast this morning. Decided to eat inside as it's on a busy road. Warm welcome. Had the egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with fresh orange juice and a Chinesa and it was less than 7 euros. Excellent value. Attracts locals and visitors alike. Recommended.
We came here for lunch a couple of times during our holiday in Madeira. Nice toasties and sandwiches and very good value for money. Nuno who served us is very friendly and welcoming.

Very pleasant cozy space with several affordable menus. Sells ready-made cakes, sandwiches, spirits, juices, terrace, at the foot of the Socorro bridge, I recommend it
It's worth a try and it opens early.
Drinks freshly prepared, which is important for a poncha or nikita. Great value. Staff are friendly and go above and behond. The food is also fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.
Great service and the 6 years rum from here was absolutely amazing. When we return I will be returning to this cafe. And I reccomend for people to visit
