Inconceivably rude and overworked ladies at the counter. Tasteless and dry sandwiches, were made in front up us and slapped together with no butter or mayo. When I asked for it, it was thrown at me. Give this place a miss.

Great service and advice from the young male waiter, he took time to explain all our queries. The homemade pastel was even better than the traditional pastel de nata.

Super tasty freshly baked bread! I was a little worried that I would have to cue, when I didn't know the name of the bread I wanted in Portugese. However the lady come up to the counter and I could just point out the items I wanted.
Buy the way super affordebly, 64 cents for two pieces of bread. Really fresh. ??

I had to wait 30 minutes to use the toilette after I finished my coffee, because they were doing a deep cleaning during the rush hours

Good pastry with good service and friendliness.
Sword and breaded chicken sandwiches are delicious, including the cakes.
A place where there is good cleaning and everything is very well organized by the employees.

We visit Madeira at least twice a year and Opan is always very good value and clean. The staff are very professional and understand English very well. Excellent.

Great cafe. Nice terrace. Best of all, the prices. 2 coffees with milk, 2 freshly made rolls, small still water, small beer. €7.28.....all good. Walked 20 mins each morning for coffee.
