Very tasty pastel de nata and good coffee. Place is very local and noisy. Better just take away :)

Bakery on the side of the famous market halls where traders come to have a coffee or a snack
Low price guaranteed
On the other hand, the names of the products are not translated into English or French but the staff is helpful and we manage to make ourselves understood.

Compared to the traditional market, the price is somewhat more expensive, but a good product in quality and variety. Cream puffs for 1 euro, very delicious.

A very nicely located and very well-stocked bakery and confectionery shop. You can drink delicious coffee on site.
What makes this place special is the fact that everything is super fresh, baked in front of us :)
I ate the best coconut muffin in my life here :)
Vegetarian options: It's a bakery - there's practically no meat here :D
Kid-friendliness: This is a place with sweets
Wheelchair accessibility: The premises are on the promenade level

Lots of people and locals in particular, but we even find space, the products are very good for the price and the service is very friendly?
It's not the best pastry shop but the food isn't too bad and the sandwiches are made to order.

Very typical experience close to the Lavradores market. There are a lot of locals there. Service is done directly at the counter. We liked it overall.

Cakes and pastries are really nice and affordable. Very nice place to have an afternoon snack or breakfast. Coffee is good but ask them how hot you want it and always ask if the cake is fresh/ when made. There are two options cake from yesterday or today which can taste different. Also would be nice if they had WiFi. Try the cream cheese chocolate cake 5* . Staff are usually friendly and welcoming. Be nice if they could introduce new cake recipes and innovate to attract more customers. Sometimes beggars coming in which is a bit uncomfortable but it’s a touristic place, so just be alert and aware of your surroundings but not all the time and pigeons coming inside / flying which is little annoying. One of my favourite cafes in Funchal city centre though. They also have Birthday cakes/ for special occasions aswell.

Small typical café frequented by the local population. We enjoyed 1 chocolate croissant, 1 pastel de nata and 2 coffees for only €4. Very generous, excellent value for money. Very pleasant after having visited the mercado de lavradores.

First time I bought Paposeco and Última Also, even though they were fresh, this was bought on 03/08/2024They don't come with a lot of crumbs and the price is enough to scare off customers, €0.23 for each patty, extremely expensive, it's at a retail price for tourists, anyway, you should check the prices better.I don't recommend buying bread here ‼️

Very typical and frequented mainly by locals, we can therefore say that it is because it is very good. We only tasted the Pasteis de Nata which were delicious and really inexpensive (1E)

My favorite place to get bread, pastries, and a garoto downtown. Everyone is so friendly and extremely efficient.
