An alright restaurant in the old town area of Funchal. Definitely caters to tourists, so don't expect complex or really flavourful foods. I got the shrimp appetizer, which wasn't worth it as it came with just 3 shrimps, which lacked flavour. The Espada fish meal with shrimp sauce was alright, I could see some people liking it, but my tastebuds were just a bit happy.

We recently dined at Paula’s bistro and had delicious espada fish and chicken risotto. The waitress was friendly and recommended us really good food. Situated in a good location with pleasant atmosphere for a relaxing evening. It’s worth a visit ?

Gezellig restaurant, een beetje verstopt. Heel vriendelijk bediening die zeer goed Engels spreekt. Uitgebreid menu. En fantastisch lekker eten!

Nice little spot in the heart of Funchal. They did a great job seating a large group at no notice. Only giving a 4.5 because the food took a long time to receive. But it was delicious.

Set in a quite back street, the menu offers quite a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian starters and mains. With the help of our really friendly waiter, I had the prawns and the halibut. My wife has the mozzarella and the chickpea curry. All really tasty. Our friendly waiter convinced us to have dessert, the cheesecake and the cheese. Fantastic.Would highly recommend.

Our vegetarian foods ( avocado salad & vegetable curry) were really perfect and a very good alternative to all the fish and meat dishes in other restaurants. We really recommend to eat here.

A refreshing change from the majority of restaurants - limited but excellent menu. Grilled prawns were excellent and the goats cheese with marmalade an unexpectedly real treat!
