Food was okay, pizza was more cold than hot. Cannelloni was fine. But service is bad. Girls talk so softly that you can't understand them. Older man (owner?) doesn't respond when you ask for the bill, so you don't know if he does anything with it. He then throws the bill on the table with his back to you. If you ask to pay by card, he rolls his eyes. There are plenty of other places in this area with good service and better food!

Poor value for money: disappointing quality-quantity. The prices charged are well above what "local" restaurants offer. A tourist rate applied to a busy area, in front of the big hotels in Funchal... (18 euros for a ridiculous plate of Penne, 15 euros for a carbonara just as sparsely garnished..., 19 euros for a pizza... while the Prices in the surrounding area for traditional home-cooked dishes range from 9 to 14 euros...). Well above the usual prices of other restaurateurs and well below the quality offered in Madeira (all without taking into account the possibility of a starter or soft drink type consumption...). The fast service is the only asset of this restaurant if you need to go quickly!
Kid-friendliness: Possibility of splitting a dish in two if your children are small and have little appetite!

We wanted pizza so obvious and safe choice should be Italian (or at least something that calls it self an Italian). It's not the worst pizza I have ever eaten but close enough. At that price range pizzas should be good but they are not. Bland and tasteless dough, fillings felt raw (had shrimp). Somehow tasteless even with oregano and pepper. 4€ for a beer when close by you can get one at 2.5€. service was ok even tough they can't split the bill and they charged 1€ for a pizza box to go with leftovers. Easy to say, in not going back.

Great find! You won't be disappointed. We were having trouble deciding whether the food or the service was better! Quarte was a brilliant waiter and made tge most perfect suggestions for our food. Highly recommended.

The worst humiliation I could have received in my life, we arrived and everything was full, when there was a free table we approached and no one came to serve us. We sat down to clear the table and the MANAGER approached us and practically insulted us because we sat down without first asking why. We were friendly and explained to him that no one had approached us and he just repeated to us a thousand times that the table was dirty, looking at us badly and speaking to us in an aggressive and rude tone of voice. Obviously we got up and left. It's understandable that they have a lot of work but the customers are not to blame for anything, we just wanted to eat and we left feeling very angry and having the worst experience of our lives. I will not go again and would never recommend this service.

A pior humilhação que poderia ter recebido na minha vida, chegamos e estava tudo lotado, quando havia mesa livre nos aproximamos e ninguém veio nos servir. Sentamos para tirar a mesa e o GERENTE se aproximou de nós e praticamente nos insultou porque nos sentamos sem primeiro perguntar o porquê. Fomos simpáticos e explicamos-lhe que ninguém nos tinha abordado e ele apenas nos repetiu mil vezes que a mesa estava suja, olhando-nos mal e falando connosco num tom de voz agressivo e rude. Obviamente nos levantamos e saímos. É compreensível que tenham muito trabalho mas os clientes não têm culpa de nada, só queríamos comer e saímos com muita raiva e a pior experiência das nossas vidas. Não irei novamente e nunca recomendaria esse serviço.

Great food and staff but unfortunately the owner(s) possibly two brothers, one in particular was very surly and rude from the outset.Does not appreciate his staff or customers.Appears to dislike tourists in general and is obviously in the wrong profession.
