I can't understand why this place is so popular as we found the service to be on the rude side, waited 40 minutes to order drinks, and then a further 20 to order food. The starters were large but bland, and the mains were awful. Most diners were elderly and seemed to be regulars (and British) and known to the staff. If you are fond of 70's style Italian food and cramped seating, enjoy it. If not, there are better places to eat in that area.

Nice little family restaurant which is always busy in the evening. Portion sizes are big, their prices very reasonable and the dishes we tried were all delicious- especially dish number 60. Their Tiramisu is amazing and definitely needs to be tried. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Very good food. We took no 60 and no 62 for our dinner.Cosy atmosphere in this little family restaurant, where the pastas are home made. In addition to the really good food, I must say that our waiter was very kind as he recommended us a red wine, which was wonderful.

Came here the night before we left for UK. Also our 27th wedding anniversary. My wife had the scabbard fish and I had the steak on a spit. Food was presented beautifully but fish and beef were lukewarm. My wife had sickness and diarrhoea during the night and I felt unwell. Very disappointed. Serve your food hot and worry less about how the food looks on the plate. Or do both. Will edit if it turns out to be food poisoning.

It is a lovely place with friendly Staff. The starters were amazing - actually the best we ate in Funchal. The Pizza did unfortunately disappoint us, the crust was soft and the whole pizza tasted like nothing. We also had to wait quite a long time for a bill.

Czas oczekiwania na samo menu- ok 20min- przy małej liczbie gości jest kiepskie. Jeden Pan zbierał zamówienie na napoje a inny Pan na jedzenie. Samo jedzenie średniej jakości, makaron fettuccino bez soli, lekko mdły. Czas oczekiwania na dwa makarony- ponad godzina- tutaj nie trzeba nic dodawać, dodatkowo aby zapłacić również trzeba czekać ok 20min mino ponownej prośby o uregulowanie rachunku. Po dwóch podejściach do kelnera, w końcu udało się zapłacić. Nie polecam

This is the first restaurant we go to when in Madeira, and we always go back for a second visit. The espada dish is a must. The service is excellent, as are the staff.
