Very nice and friendly service. Absolutely recommended for a quick snack, coffee in between or even something to eat. I paid a total of €10 for two cappuccinos, three soft drinks and a homemade grappa - which was given to me at the house's expense.

It's a good nice place where the Muppets spend their days. An excellent stop along the way.

TOTAL SCAM! We stopped at this bar to drink a small 20cl beer. This beer costs all around bars in Madeira FROM 0,80€ to 1,1€. They charge us 2€ each beer just for being tourists! The bar was full of old local men that we highly doubt they were paying 2€ per beer. AVOID AT ALL COST!

This nook is definitely a local’s favourite. I came on a Saturday, and they didn’t have much on the menu except for one featured item: a hearty stew called Feijoada. Decided to try it even though I had no clue what it was, but it turned out to be one of my favourite things I ate in Madeira. It was a hearty and soul warming stew filled with pork, beans, and various vegetables. It tasted very homey like your grandmother cooked it. I loved it! I even saw many older locals come in with giant plastic containers, and had them filled up with the stew of the day to go! Also, prices were super cheap!

Love this little cafe restaurant next to Praca do Carmo. Great atmosphere, coffee and Nata great. Prices ok. Better than the other cafes in the square. Will definitely stop here again.
