Surprised for the worse. We went on a recommendation from the hotel and it was “just like that”. Octopus (€22+€3.5 with accompaniment) totally tasteless accompanied by some flavorless vegetables. Rissoto, tasty but nothing to highlight. I've had much better ones even at franchise Italians. No, I don't recommend it. The only good thing, the attention.

Very nice restaurant, with good food, and eventhough it is in the middle of Santa Maria, it was very quietful. The staff was extremely professional and helpful.

Discovered this restaurant quite late in the evening. Unfortunately we were no longer allowed to sit outside/regulation.
I didn't particularly like it inside, it was very empty except for a large table that was very loud
The service was friendly, we had a carpaccio de polvo, which was ok.
For the main course we decided on a risotto, it could have been a little more chunky, but otherwise it was very tasteful.
Priced a little higher because it was on a street frequented by tourists.

Tempted by the reviews, we went for dinner and were pleased with the service and quality of the dishes. We ordered a basket of bread, nothing special in my opinion, Bolo do Caco was tasty. Tasty fish soup, Espetada with grilled beef and very tasty beef fillet.

Tempted by the opinions and oysters on the menu, we decided to check how they feed here. And it was the least tasty dinner we ate during our stay in Madeira. The prices are high and do not correspond to the portion size, but the location probably plays a key role here.

Excellent service, with tasty and well-presented food. Good variety of options on the menu. We didn't need to book for a late lunch visit as it wasn't too busy. A thoroughly enjoyable experience after a day of sightseeing. This was our second visit, having been before several years ago.

The dishes were well presented and tasty, however the prices were quite high. I recommend for fresh fish in the morning!

Very touristy restaurant on the street, average prices for a tourist place and quite a long wait for the dishes. On the other hand, the food is very good and the waiters are friendly, I recommend the "grilled limpets" as they can only be eaten here and in the Azores, a delicacy

It was a hot day, and we appreciated the AC and cold beer! It is one of several restaurants owned by the same company. If you want white linens and a quiet place, it is very good. If you want to eat with locals, this is not the place so much. For a tourist local it is very good. Clean and comfortable.
