For such a lovely spot to eat, it was possibly the worst experience and food I’ve ever had. Staff were rude and it was almost as if we were a huge inconvenience being there as customers. The steak was awful and I mean awful. To suggest you could have Rare, Medium or well done was offensive given the steak would struggle to qualify as a slice no thinker than 4mm!!! Yes a bit of frying steak!! Don’t bother go anywhere else literally. I’m struggling at 1 star such a waste!

Well located with great views across the river from it’s elevated position, there is a limited amount of outside seating to make the most of these views, but the fairly narrow walkway with a constant stream of people walking past meant that it wasn’t the best position. Inside it’s quite pleasant and contemporary with a tiled floor and plenty of wine bottles lining the walls. I went for the local Francesinha as I hadn’t had once since arriving in Porto, and this was a very generous portion with plenty of ham, spicy sausage and gravy. I didn’t think there was much taste to the cheesy topping, and it’s not something I’d necessarily be in a hurry to have again, but it was nice to try it. Across the table, a baked cod fishcake was served in a crispy battered coating and was also a very generous portion. Sticking with the local theme for dessert, I opted for the “Traditional Portuguese conventional desert” which was a bit of a vague description, and after quizzing the waitress for some more detail, all I managed to elicit was “flan” which didn’t really help much. Nonetheless, I gave it a go and what turned up was essentially very similar to a Crème caramel although with a somewhat grainier texture and was quite enjoyable. A chocolate mousse was perhaps lacking a little in presentation being just slopped in to a bowl, but this too was a generous portion and very tasty. Overall we quite enjoyed it here with friendly service, good sized portions and good value. The food was nothing outstanding, but it was all quite pleasant and I’d happily return if in the area.

To follow my title it is like giving lard to a pig. One of the best location in Porto with a useless owner. Shame that the service was so unorganised as the food was correct and location perfect. The last straw was to wait 15 minutes if not more to get dessert. We already asked twice to get the menu. Some people shouldn't be in this industry.

Worst aperitif (and most expensive) we had in Porto: 11,50 for a Porto Tonico without Porto is too much despite the nice view on the river and on Vila Nov Gaia.

Having been here for drinks the previous evening and thinking it was an excellent spot with lovely staff, we came back for an evening meal. The waitress (Maria?) recognised us and, although the restaurant hadn't yet re-opened for the evening, told us to come back in 10 minutes and she would find us a table. The view over the Ribeiro is excellent, the service excellent and the food - especially the duck rice - was superb!

The burgers dont match their description on the menu, they are missing arugola, spinach, basil etc. The ‚large plate’ of starters consisted of 4 pieces of ham and 3 pieces of cheese. The quality of food for the amount of money is ridiculous! The waiters are completely ignoring the complaints about the missing ingridients and trying to explain it with it just not being in stock. The baked codfish had pieces of plastic in it, and the fries were cold. The orange juice was a sparkling soda.

Horrible experience here. Our waiter was rude from the minute we got here. “Seafood rice” was actually soup with 75% rice and a few pieces of seafood we had to break with tools. You’d think the waiter would clarify this before ordering considering were tourists. We waited 20 minutes for a simple salad and another 30 for the soup. There’s a beautiful cafe below the restaurant by the water I’d recommend instead.

This restaurant on the balcony above the quayside has a lot of negative TripAdvisor reviews, but my experience was different. I was able to get one of the tables immediately in front of the restaurant with a fine view of the famous bridge and the special on the menu the evening I ate here was grilled sardines, which were served with a few boiled potatoes and were absolutely delicious. My server was friendly and efficient though when the big outdoor seating area got busy the staff did seem to be run off their feet a bit

This is horrible restaurant, totally avoid. The sangria was so bad amazingly, because there is no way that you can get bad sangria in Portugal but this restaurant manage to have the worst sangria. It is very very expensive . Don’t get deceive by view. Food was very cold too and waiters don’t care to ask you if you want snything. Don’t come to this restaurant . You loose your money

This restaurant could do so well based upon it's location but its completely let down by it's staff and food. The staff clearly think tourists are a pain . Our waitress was quite good but was clearly new whereas the experienced male staff were just rude and ignorant. The food was basically crap - anybody could cook what they offer and serve it up. We opted for a cold sharing platter of cheese and meats - basically some hams, barely cooked hideously fatty sausage and cheese. Stale bread in a basket and the cheapest bottle of olive oil, obviously stolen from a truck stop somewhere. For main I had a hamburger, served on a half a bun, a ton of lettuce soaked in vinegar and fries which had seen a better day whereas my wife had the prawn linguini in a split sauce. Believe me - avoid this "restaurant"

This restaurant is in a good location with views over the Ribeira - that’s the only positive thing I can say. The service was poor, 3 times we had to ask for tap water, we eventually got bottled so I guess that’s something. The food was mediocre and bland at best. Our steaks were supposed to be Sirloin and Fillet. They both looked identical apart from one being covered in a lilac, yes lilac, sauce. It was supposed to be some form of peppercorn creation. Lilac sauce on a meat dish doesn’t work for me, it didn’t really taste of anything either! The meat was tough, served with chips and rice and a lifeless salad. Totally disappointing all round, luckily the wine was ok and it wasn’t too expensive. Avoid this place, there are so many better options than this. And a note to the alleged chefs - I think you may need to go back to cooking school for some refresher lessons.
