Well located with great views across the river from it’s elevated position, there is a limited amount of outside seating to make the most of these views, but the fairly narrow walkway with a constant stream of people walking past meant that it wasn’t the best position. Having been here for drinks the previous evening and thinking it was an excellent spot with lovely staff, we came back for an evening meal. The waitress (Maria?) recognised us and, although the restaurant hadn't yet re-opened for the evening, told us to come back in 10 minutes and she would find us a table. The view over the Ribeiro is excellent, the service excellent and the food - especially the duck rice - was superb!
This restaurant on the balcony above the quayside has a lot of negative TripAdvisor reviews, but my experience was different. I was able to get one of the tables immediately in front of the restaurant with a fine view of the famous bridge and the special on the menu the evening I ate here was grilled sardines, which were served with a few boiled potatoes and were absolutely delicious.
