Very tasty homemade food, amazing service, lots of locals who eat here. Very affordable. It’s a kanteen with good food, you can choose between meat and fish plate. Plates are big and tasty. The service is fabulous, the lady saw us struggling a bit with our hungry and grumpy toddler and asked what can she eat outside of menu. In the end our daughter ate very tasty sandwich that wasn’t on the menu and as well her fish plate. Desserts are really nice as well. So much better than a street away with all the tourist places.

This place is spectacular! Amazing food at an incredible price. If you are a tourist give yourself a break from paying high tourist prices and eat authentic food with locals at a price that can’t be beat!! The dessert dish I had was absolutely fantastic!! I highly recommend this place!!

We were looking for something to eat and all the restaurants didn't appeal to us, so we looked on maps and found this little restaurant. It doesn't look like much, but the food is amazing and the service was also very attentive.
Highly recommended for the price and selection.
In my opinion a must have for anyone on holiday in Madeira.

Buffet is incredibly cheap (for Europe) for a full plate and it filled me up. It also comes with desert which had a lot of options. I mentioned I’m mostly vegetarian and the lady packed me lots of veges. There were a lot more meat options.

It is a canteen restaurant which offers a formula with two possible choices: €6.5 dish/meat+soup or dessert and €7 dish/fish+soup or dessert. Drinks are extra. Be careful here, all the dishes are made on site and homemade. I ate several times and was able to taste the different dishes. I can assure you that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products despite an unbeatable price. The owners are adorable and speak English, they take great care of you. Make no mistake, we almost only find Portuguese people. If you want to eat locally and cheaply this is the place to go, you will make great savings compared to the other restaurants which are right next door. I highly recommend.
