Very nice owner, very good sardines, he honestly says that they are frozen, which doesn't matter to him because they taste the same as fresh ones (experience). The guy has a passion for cooking, you can see that he lives by it...
Ate at this lovely little restaurant 16/01 and enjoyed some local fish sea bream dorado and tuna steak.It was wowsical paired with a green wine vinho verde recommended by the host.Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and was well worth seeking out.
Excellent food well prepared and very reasonable price. Fish dishes are exceptional as are wines. Great team effort from owner and his wife. Definitely one for the short list if visiting Funchal Restaurant is located in a street north of the cathedral and a minutes walk from main centre. Don’t miss it
