This restaurant was recommended by our guide from a hiking tour. Staff was super friendly. The food was beyond expectations. If you want to taste the local food, come to this place.
Delicious food and nice ambience. Very nice service at first. However, after we asked if we could share an espetada, the service became unfriendly. The ladies in particular seemed very arrogant and tips were grumpily accepted. We didn't feel comfortable and won't be coming back.

The food was good but way too overpriced, the drinks were also overpriced. The table was rocking. I recommend taking a taxi, which is free, and going to the vila da carne restaurant. Cheaper and the meat is significantly better and there is more to eat. Picture added of a restaurant that I recommend, the atmosphere and scenery are just right there ??

I recently dined at Solar da Ajuda and was pleasantly surprised. At first glance, the restaurant doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, but don't let that deter you. The Piri Piri chicken I ordered was absolutely delicious, packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the overall experience enjoyable. If you're in the area and looking for a great meal, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!
