We booked through The Fork and we were honestly surprised. The treatment was unbeatable, attentive service that takes care of the customer. We had a 30% discount for the application, however it did not apply to the specialty. Despite this, we ordered it and it was delicious, both the point of the meat and its juiciness. Without a doubt, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The food was mixed, some very tasty (samosa, fish/risotto), some rather lukewarm and the taste was average. The portions were very large, sometimes too large (starter tartare resembled a main course, dessert cheese platter was overly large). The greeting from the kitchen was a lukewarm, inedible soup. The wine glasses were very well filled. We had the impression that the large portines were intended to hide the medium quality.
The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, the head waiter was very friendly, other waiters not so much.

Our experience was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Inside the restaurant is beautiful with walls covered in stones and a really beautiful atmosphere. Everything was perfect, waitress where really kind and what about the food? The best that you can try in Madeira! This restaurant combines the tradition with a mix of new combinations and they really worth it. They also offers to us two cocktail of the week, really really tasty. And what about the desserts? Try the one with chocolate, and you will not be disappointed ;) thank you o' capitano, hope that we will meet again if I'll come back to the island!

After having luckily stumbled upon this restaurant for the first time, we returned a second time during our holiday: very high quality food, wine suggested by the staff in perfect combination, trained and kind staff. Highly recommended

Visited twice within 6 days. Excellent aromatic cuisine. The focus is on the coordination of ingredients and spices. Excellent ceviche with ginger. Excellently seasoned beef tartare. Sensational octopus with chorizo ​​and local fish. Cheesecake made from matcha and white chocolate is also exceptional. Nothing overly seasoned, but an excellent balance of the aromas of products and spices.
Extremely charming and friendly people in service. Eating like with friends. Incredibly good value for money. 6 stars would be appropriate.

Excellent food and service.
The risotto dish with tomato and swordfish is incredible, as are the starters (ceviche, tartar and clams)
To top it off, the great service from Adria and her colleague, a “must” for anyone coming to Madeira :)

Fantastic food, staff and ambience. Love the fact that it’s not pretentious, it’s relaxed. Highly recommend it. Food was hot, vegetables beautifully cooked.

Must go place to eat. Had the best meal on the island. Wife and I both had the 3 course meal. Everything was so well prepared. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Brought us a variety of wines to match what we were looking for (we opted for the Captain option). Make sure to read the first page of the menu before selecting.
