Lovely English-type Indian restaurant. Nice balcony to sit on and friendly service. Food was a great example of the type of curries on offer in the UK. The Aloo Saag was gorgeous! Loved it all and would definitely return.

We ate here a couple of times in a week, absolutely brilliant food. Service was slow but worth the wait. Always left thinking it was a great experience, excellent dining terrace too.

We had a reservation for 20:00, however it took them 10 minutes to take us to a table. This while half of the restaurant was empty. Afterwards they just forgot about us for 40 minutes, without any excuses. The waiters even looked at us and did not do anything about it.

People who came in way later received their food way before us. They only attended us when we went up to the bar to tell them we were leaving as we were not helped yet. Furthermore the male waiter just put our drinks on the table and just left without saying anything or looking at us. We were promised that our food would be put more to the front however it took them 40 more minutes to get the food on the table.

On the bright side the food tasted good, however the portions were quite small… Thus this would be the only thing okayish. The location is good, you have a great view so I will give them this as-well. However overall the worst experience we have had on our trip in Madeira and I would not recommend anyone to go here.

The food is reasonably good. Nothing special but satisfactory. The chicken was very tender but the minced meat was dry and the curry was overly sweet to my taste. The problem is that it is expensive for what you get.

We really loved this Indian restaurant beside our hotel in Funchal. We went here twice and both the times the food was really good, the service was quick as well. Also people working there are friendly. It has a really nice sea view from the terrace so you can relax with some nice Indian food. I would definitely suggest this place if you like Indian food.

I agree the service is lacking possibility because the presumed boss is the only one who can take orders, so we see many staff standing around looking blank. However the food is good and gives the curry kick needed after dining on great Madeiran food. As to the comment by others on food poisoning I would say they are fantasizing and should have either taken this to a higher authority or checked what else they had put in their stomach. Drinks however are far too expensive. Allin all worth a visit
