By far the best chips in the world! The kids asked for more chips as their desert ?. The rest of the meal was great, crostini collection of 6 varieties (prawns were the best but also sardines and fresh salmon). Prices were perfect and kids were made very welcome. Going again soon.

Excellent food. We ordered the skewer board and two chopped dishes and they were delicious. Homemade potatoes. The waitress is a very nice and pleasant woman who explains everything very well.

Very tasty and fresh food. Limpets, bolo do caco and marinated octopus. Friendly woman at the counter who provides a lot of additional explanation about their products. Top.

We went because it was close to the accommodation and it was a pleasant surprise. The woman who attended us was very close and friendly. Typical Madeira food with fresh fish, good flavor and at a good price, without a doubt highly recommended for lunch or dinner. I recommend ordering the chopped onion powder.

You can see why this restaurant is always empty. The waiter didn't have a clue about working in a restaurant, and although we were only one of two occupied tables, we had to get up and go to him to ask for drinks and extras. No checking on our food or offering us more drinks. I even had to go to him to pay my bill.On the subject of the food, it was all awful, frozen pizza, cheap burgers, and olives that were turning to mush. Avoid this place at all costs!

Lekker authentiek Portugees eten! De dame van de bediening is zeer vriendelijk en spreekt goed Engels. Maar eigenlijk spreken de gerechten al voor zichzelf.Dus sla dat hotelbuffet een keer over en ga voor de persoonlijke ervaring.

Excellent meal and lovely service, like the tardis - much bigger inside with terrace view of the bridge. Olives, mussels, gambas and wine all perfect, then €2.50 for ice cream! Will def visit again!

This place is a hidden star with a perfect selection of great seafood and pizza that we can only recommend. The service is very good we had a wonderful time. We can recommend black sword and prawns and in addition the pizzas are very high standards. I don’t understand why this place is listed so low. Go there and have a super experience.

Arrived late in Funchal and this was one of the few places open for dinner at 22.30. Simple choices - various tapas, half a dozen pizzas and a few staple main courses but the service was excellent and unhurried. Excellent value too.Not a place for a special meal but very competent. The sort of place you might choose as your fallback choice during a stay in Funchal.

Good food without any frills with very friendly service, absolutely recommended for the price/performance ratio.
