A lot of nice, original options, definitely not basic. I had the seitan with sweet potato purée. Jummy.
Should have followed my instincts of walking by places who try to drag you in off the street, but gave them the benefit of doubt as were hungry.
Just about adequate chicken skewer with chips, spicy beef was good on flavour but poor quality gristly meat, too chewy for me to eat much of. The best thing was the tomato soup and garlic bread....we would have been happy with just that.
Didnt seem to know what an iced latte was,and we ended up with a coolish coffee drink that missed the mark.
For 16,90€ each was not great value, just a bit poor overall. Much better, fresher food in many other places nearby.

The pictures on the menu suggest a much fuller plate (about 16 mussels according to the picture, in reality there were only 7)
Dishes were not even served lukewarm.
Service is virtually non-existent.
It's virtually impossible to reorder drinks
It took about 40 minutes to ask for the bill. (The restaurant was not full).

Delicious espada with banana, the best coffee we've ever had in Portugal and amazing passion fruit pudding. We found it by accident and did not regret it. I recommend!

Everything was very good and well presented, we enjoyed ourselves even if the interior of the restaurant is not very beautiful.

This is among the best restaurants in Northern Portugal on every level. Chic without being formal or stuffy. Attentive but not intrusive staff and a good variety of vegan options. The mushroom entrée, cogumelos a bolhão pato is delicious and there are multiple vegan mains all of which are excellent. It's not cheap but it's highly recommended.
The food is OK. That's the best I can tell about it. I ordered a fish from the daily menu. It was like a jelly with no taste. At least tomato soup was fine. The waiter is nice.

This place is not pricey, but you can have way better food for the same money in different places.I cannot recommend this place, becauseFood was tasteless, and portions were really small. We tried a few different dishes and none was good - bolo da caco, tuna steak, chicken soup. T

Went to many wonderful restaurants during our stay in Funchal. This establishment was NOT one of those! We started with grilled limpids. They were tasteless. The seafood rice we ordered contained artificial crab! This is unacceptable considering the price of the entree and the fact that fresh seafood is so abundant on the island. Before we ordered the rice we asked the waitress what type of seafood was in the rice. She said fresh shellfish. When the rice arrived we noticed immediately that it contained artifical crab. We politely explained that we were not expecting this and that one person was allergic. She immediately turned ugly and rude on us. She started yelling at us and threatened to call the police! We never said anything about not paying our bill. We were shocked with her behavior!! We quickly paid our bill and left.
My friend and I both got sick after the tomato soup. The tuna steak was no steak at all, the fish was dry and unseasoned. The waitress, although she seemed nice, it was sucking her teeths for leftovers right behind us.

The food was inedible. Potatoes cooked much earlier and reheated to serve. The raw material is tasteless and the vegetables are sour. The tuna is disgusting, dry and tasteless. The Espada was broken and smelly, it could cause poisoning, but it was not touched. After the complaint, an argument with the waitress who did not want to take it into account, only the owner had to intervene and take away the old food. I don't recommend it so as not to spoil yourself, there are many much better restaurants in the area.
