This restaurant is somewhat hidden in a backyard, but really nicely decorated. The staff is very attentive and gives you the feeling of a more “fine dining” experience. We had sweet potato bread as a starter, and the server specifically asked if we were vegan or vegetarian or had any allergies. The bread and the accompanying spreads were very good. For the main course we had the Chana Masala (with chickpeas and rice). My wife liked it very much, I found it to be a bit bland. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, which was amazing. Overall well worth a visit.
The restaurant offers 2 vegan starters, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts. Everything I tried tasted amazing. The waiters were very nice and asked about allergies and food we didn't like. For me, the best vegan food in Madeira.
They have a few vegan options for each course. They are clearly labeled and quiet interesting. Everything we had was delicious. Staff is very kind and accommodating. They asked for allergies/dietary restrictions and brought me vegan butter for the starter. Also served us a free amuse-bouche.
Came here for a birthday dinner at the end of April and the place didn't disappoint. Clearly marked choices on the menu, the venue is beautiful and the service friendly.
The price is a little bit higher but the food is out of this world. Some of the best vegan dishes I've had. The mushrooms with lentil paste and roast garlic was divine and the coconut panna cotta was delicious. Two vegan options for each starter, main and dessert.
Slightly on the pricier side but they and its a proper 3 course dinner type of place, many vegan options including desserts . I loved the chocolate mousse and the tom yum soup. My partner loved the fish dish too. Great wine selection.
Gorgeous 3 course meal - a proper treat. Lovely service too! Highly recommend.
Superb three course menu! I brought my family who aren’t all vegan and we all agreed it was the best meal we had this year! There were two vegan options to choose from for each course. The portion size was excellent and the food was some of the most flavorsome I’ve had. 10/10 from everyone and a good spot to bring those who aren’t vegan!
Super nice ambiance and delicious 3 course vegan dinner.
We came here with a group of 6 and absolutely loved the restaurant! Prices are very good for the quality of food and drinks you get (45€ per person for an excellent, weekly switching 3 course menu). You can pick and choose from different options across first courses, mains and dessert. The staff was very attentive of all allergies etc and even exchanged ingredients that someone simply did not like (we would’ve never mentioned it if they had not specifically asked for this kind of information). Food was great, portion sizes that definitely fill you up, it was quick and the service was amazing, all super friendly and attentive! We would come back any time and highly recommend this for a nice dinner.

They tried to make the food unusual, combining different tastes, but the problem was that at the end it had very mediocre taste. We’ve been the day before in another restaurant nearby and it was a real gastronomic experience, however this one had simalar prices (around 100€ for 2) but the atmosphere and the food weren’t so good.

We were not impressed by the taste of the dishes we ordered at e45/person tag. Had 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and 1 desert. For me the different ingredients were not marrying together... too salty beans puree.. plain cold mussels with some chopped veggies. The favorite was cheese tart for desert.

Amazing place . The menu is changing every day . The food , the textures , the tastes everything is perfect . The service as well . If you are in Funchal it’s a place to try . The food portions are small but it’s perfect for this kind of experience

It was our third visit yesterday. After two 5-star-experiences in 2022 and 2023, we were deeply disappointed yesterday compared to the last visits. The concept has changed and they only offer a three course menu for 45€/guest, no criticism here - this could be a really good concept, if done the right way.
Regarding the food:
We both ordered the vegan first and second dishes.
- the first was a Peruvian Solterito, which was all in all low in flavors. In addition to that, they used a grated vegan cheese as a topping which would normally used for gratinating in melted form. As Solterito is a cold dish, the cheese remained in its unmelted texture, which was very grainy because of the release agents used in the product. In our opinion, a vegan feta or fresh cheese style would have been the better option, especially considering the price point.
- the second course was a vegan tartare, which was really tasty and interesting
- Unfortunately the portion sizes of first and second dish were a lot smaller compared to our last visits
- both vegan desserts were tasty (once they arrived…)
Regarding the service:
- service in general was disappointing in comparison to our last visits
- the owners, who served us the last times, always gave a little description for every dish. They were not present yesterday. All dishes, except the Amuse-Guele and the bread, were served without any words.
- servers were inattentive and didn’t fill up glasses from bottled drinks. This was done perfectly at our last visits.
- they forgot to bring us our desserts. Maybe this was due to a misunderstanding: they said we asked to wait after the second course but actually we asked to get the desserts right away. But anyways, even if we would have wanted to wait, I expect a follow-up by one of the servers after ~15min. After almost 25 minutes of waiting (with empty drinks), I had to go inside and ask for the dessert.
All in all, I have to say that this visit made us really sad about spending more than 100€ for a dinner with two persons, without alcoholic drinks. In my opinion, the experience did not match the price point at all.
If we come to Funchal another time, we will not visit this venue again.
