Wedding anniversary. It was added to the booking this information and nothing has been even mentioned. For the level of the restaurant, was expecting a mention of that. Food good and complex cuisine. For the price range should be perfect. My wifes dish was Incredible good. Mine was steak and was overcooked and "potato mil folhas" slightly undercooked. Had higher expectations based on the reputation and being part of michelin guide.

Beautiful restaurant and grounds/setting. Friendly staff and good service, however, for the price point the food was terribly disappointing. Given this is a Michelin recommended venue, we expected much better. The dish descriptions and appearance were as expected for a top restaurant but the flavour and cooking was well below par. We had the prawn/avocado and Foie gras starters, the prawn was the star of the evening, the foie gras was overpowered by the chocolate flavour that accompanied it. For mains we had the suckling pig and the duck. On the suckling pig the fat was not crisp and it lacked flavour, albeit the vegetables and couscous were nice. The duck was a huge disappointment, whilst it had a very nice sauce the duck was very chewy, sinewy and again the skin had not been rendered enough resulting in half a centimetre of inedible white soft fat. For desserts we had the passion fruit/yuzu mousse and meringue, and the soufflé. Whilst the mousse dessert was pretty good, the soufflé was very poor. It looked the part when it came out and was well risen, but it tasted like an omelette and had a thick eggy crust around it rather than the soft mousse texture that a good soufflé should have. We had glasses of wine recommended as pairings with each course which were excellent. Overall, for the price of the meal (€220 euros) it was very disappointing. We have eaten at The William and Il Gallo D’Oro and it is nowhere near that standard. We also ate at the Michelin recommended Armazém do Sal which is much better value and food quality in our view.

Amazing food… beautifully presented with great flavour. I had read that menu was limited but it was plentiful with meat, fish and vegatarian choices. The Sea Bream and Crusted lamb mains were amazing as was the scallops starter.
