A very pleasant place. Very nice service, traditional and delicious food! The ritual of serving Espatada and the help of waiters. I recommend everyone to eat and drink Ponche or Nikitas here.

We recommend !!! The service is extremely nice and attentive. We had an excellent poncho, which was prepared for us right at the table. The cook is also great - excellent Prego no bolo do caco, which was truly unrivaled! Thank you very much :-)
If you are wondering where to eat and drink in the center of Funchal, you will definitely be satisfied here.

We found this small street restaurant while walking. We got a super delicious traditional beef steak, a large portion of fresh salad and traditional bread, divine potatoes, and even a nice song from the owner. It was Friday afternoon, there weren't many people, even though there are a lot of tourists at this time. I hope these small local street restaurants survive in this big competition. We had a great time and had a great stay. Thank you for everything!

Found the place wandering about and got a seat. Service was slow but it was a busy day. Staff were nice and welcoming and the poncha was decent and mixed in front of us.
We had the meat kebab and cuttlefish. Food was okay, very salty and took a while to arrive as it was busy.
The staff were lovely and the singing waiter was highly entertaining, singing classic karaoke sings on a karaoke machine, out of tune and out of time, but was a good laugh.

I don't recommend it, unless you want to go through a kitschy restoration experience. Cheese plate with slices of American cheese!!!...Dishes from each nation, kebabs served to eat on a small wooden board instead of a proper plate, French fries, excessively fried and an attempt to charge for uneaten items. Even if we had paid €30.00 it would have been expensive.
Much, much too expensive. Real tourist trap.

Super unfriendly staff.
The prices are too high, i guess that the restaurant owner thinks that he is in Paris or Copenhagen.
Tourist trap!

Scam on tourists, does not display prices and accompaniments are not included.
To flee…
Local attracts tourists and nothing more. 1.5 of plastic bottled water paid €5. A terrible smell. Unpleasant owner and waiter. Terrible service. Be wary and stay away. There are places of the same type that deserve much more not far away.

Reference tourist trap!
To avoid everything, you have to take it separately, what a scam.
The meat too salty accompanied by a bland salad.
No price displayed and he doesn't even give you the bill at the end of the meal.

It’s a bit of tourist trap, all the expensive Madeira dishes espetada, milho frito, and poncha etc available. 15eu for cheese táquenos. 20eu for six pieces of barely cooked beef. Nice atmosphere as owner sings in the narrow street whilst cooking on the BBQ. The other staff are extremely despondent and quite rude, the waiters often race onto the street into the path of oncoming tourists looking for a collision?
