Everything is top here. The service is one of the best among all the Michelin restaurants I’ve been to so far and the price is very reasonable. The chef was super generous with the truffle and the girl working there was like sunshine. She’s very attentive and we had some really interesting conversation about our dogs! The food is nicely presented and the combination of texture and color is extraordinary. We had the signature menu and loved it. If you are lactose intolerance, the alternatives are also very good. Everything is just above expectation and definitely worth the price you pay.
Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating if you have any food restriction and the alternatives are amazing too.
Parking: The valet parking is simple and easy. No need to wait long.

O William Restaurante oferece tudo o que a Madeira tem de melhor num só prato/menu. A qualidade da comida é excecional e tem por base os sabores tradicionais locais com um toque de modernidade que me fizeram recordar boas memórias da minha infância na Madeira. Vim a este restaurante por curiosidade e saí deslumbrado e com vontade de voltar. Todos os pratos servidos eram deliciosos e muito bem harmonizados. Vim a este restaurante na semana passada e não tenho palavras para o descrever. A vista magnífica tornou-se insignificante perante a qualidade de todo o serviço. Desde logo, realça-se a simpatia de todos os funcionários e a alegria e educação com que geriram todo o jantar. Depois, a incrível comida que nos foi servida, respeitando toda a gastronomia madeirense e, sobretudo, com um respeito pela comida único. Sentia-se a Madeira em todos os pratos com a utilização dos ingredientes de forma sublime. Depois de ir a vários restaurantes com estrela Michellin, este tornou-se o nosso restaurante preferido. Não há mesmo como explicar toda a experiência. A repetir já na próxima viagem à ilha durante o fim do ano. Im-pe-cá-vel!!!

The very best restaurant of Madeira. Even if he has only one star the food was better here than the gato doro with its 2 stars. They are respecting the products and each dishes is a true culinary experience that goes directly to the point. Also names plate and taste are all in sync. The wine pairing is great. Be aware to book your table in advance. It can be fully booked quite fast even if when you are there you seems to have more free tables. They should limit the numbers to keep the high end standing service and taste. Friendly staff and very professional. A true experience to get in life time.

This is a proper fine dining experience with wonderful views of Funchal and the coast.From the moment we arrived at Reid's we felt very special thanks to the very attentive staff.The dinner was a fantastic experience of great cuisine and delicious wine. Many thanks to the staff for making this a very memorable evening for us.

Being only 1 of the 2 Michelin starred restaurants on the island, we went in with high hopes. Sadly, it came up short. Staff were professional if a little stilted. The setting was nice (mostly due to the cliff views) but in desperate need of a refresh. The food was ok, but mostly uninventive, dated, and forgettable. So when the expected michelin-level bill arrived, it added insult to injury. I understand this being picked by old-fashioned customers who don't know what fine dining has evolved to nowadays. Knowing that the (non-starrred) Disarma, but superior by far, in all elements, is but a stones throw away - I know which restaurant we would recommend over William's in a hearbeat. Kampo in the old town or Razão in Calheta also outshines. Bottom line, if looking for a culinary experience, don't bother.

The service was absolutely great. This restaurant has also an epic view on Funchal , absolutely stunning. We had the 5 course menu and liked every dish with the exception of the starters. Selection of cocktails and wines is amazing. Overall, a great experience!

Wonderful new restaurant in the very nice and traditional Reid’s Hotel in Funchal. Very smart and nice décor, wonderful view of the Funchal city and its bay, very attentive professional and courteous staff. As for the food: simply perfect. Wonderful presentation, tasteful, delicate and surprising. Very nice wine pairing. All in all, nothing but perfection! Bravo!

I had the signature menu. Wonderful. Really good service, open-minded and very friendly people. Calm and easy atmosphere. The view out of the window is unique and fits the level of quality of this restaurant. The plates and bowls are well selected. Goes without saying, the aromas and composition of the courses are great. Every dish was special and was a lot of fun. A lot of ingredients I have never heard about.
