“We were in Furnas and we were looking for traditional portuguese food and here they had vegan morcela con ananas (vegan blood sausage with pineapple)! I had made my research on traditional azorean food and I thought it would be impossible to try this dish, and this restaurant was the only place in Sao Miguel and in Terceira, that had it. It was nice, the pineapple was really juicy! And then we had some burgers which were nice but not amazing haha The waiter was REALLY sweet and friendly!”

“We have visited this place and I loved it! We ate 2 Bolos filled with cheese and cooked ham and a sweet caramel. Super fresh and tasty bowls and the sweets too. EVERYTHING HOMEMADE!! The atmosphere is very pleasant. They have few tables but when we were there we had seats without waiting. The young girl who attended us was friendly and nice. We took takeaway bowls 5un €4.5 and sweets approx. €1.5! Very good price!! and unbeatable quality! I recommend visiting it without fail!!”

“Restaurant that doesn't look like much but where the food is very, very good!
The “carna estufada”, which was the dish of the day, tasted very good.
Everyone was very kind and caring.”

“We had a quick and delicious lunch here with soup, bifanas, and burgers made on the local bolos lêvados. They were much larger than what we had bought previously at the store. The coffee and pastries were also good. The ladies working were welcoming and helped us select items for the kids.”
“My husband and I tried this place on our last night in Furnas and it did not disappoint! It truly feels like a fairytale walking into the garden, the whole venue is very cute and charming. We had the shrimp, fried chorizo, olives, and cheese board and all were delicious. I dont recommend dessert here, we had far better at every other restaurant we tried on the island. Otherwise 10/10 recommend trying this place!”
“Honest snack bar. Good quality freshly made food. Friendly service environment a little neglected but for the service that does all in all it's fine. Advised.”

“Such a nice vibe and location. I had the pizza with leeks, tomatoes and seeds (with vegan cheese) and it was so good! Proper wood fired thin pizza, delicious and fresh.”

“Great place for inexpensive but good pizza and beer to relax. There are other higher end restaurants, which are fine, but sometimes you just want a lower key place to hang out and watch the world go by.”

“Surprisingly great value for money. Good quality food and we have very personal and considerate service. Didn't expect much from the outside but turned out to be quite decent. Not so much 'cozy' in terms of atmosphere but our stomachs and wallets were ”

“It was never crowded here in the evenings. We had pre-ordered 1 Cozido when making the reservation, but unfortunately it was no longer available that evening. The next day it worked and was delicious. 1 serving is easily enough for 2 people. Service was ok so far.
When we were there they were redoing the terrace”

“An absolute tourist spot. But very tasty food and it's a wonderful place to sit at the top. Basically good service. One caveat: we ordered a port wine without looking at the menu again. The port wine then appeared on the bill at €35 for 0.1 l. Luckily we had a glass for me ;-). And it wasn't even on the menu. He was already tasty. But a note about the price would have been very appropriate.”

“For €16 a large pizza and a small one loaded with ingredients (you can choose whatever you want, no limits) and it is delicious!!! The phenomenal attention. The truth is that everything is fine”
“Very pleasant service and the food was also excellent (I recommend the toast with ham and cheese). From the garden, you can watch the events in this small town beautifully.”

“The locals eat here. Menu at lunchtime but also selection of other dishes. Large dining room. Food tastes very good and is home cooking. Absolutely top value for money”
“We stopped here for a quick drink and snack but it quickly turned into an afternoon of conversation and good food. We had the best lapas on the island here! The owner knows what she’s doing and clearly cares about the food she serves. We also had a bifana with fries. Delicious. At the end of our meal the owner asked if we would like some corn that was fresh from a local farm. We couldn’t refuse and so glad we said yes. The corn was unbelievably sweet and delicious! Please don’t come here expecting a five star restaurant. This is a local bar run by wonderful people serving simple, fresh, delicious food. My only disappointment is that we didn’t make time to return for the lapas. Next time!”
“Nice pub, a mix of Sporting fan pub, cap collection and cliff diving fan club.We had burgers and bifana. You can put the sauce on the burger yourself, but it seems to be normal in the Azores. The owner is friendly.”

“Cheese restaurant in the Azores. Who would have thought? It is located rather inconspicuously in the town of Furnas. Discovered by chance while looking for a parking lot. Various own products that can be purchased or consumed directly in the restaurant. Hamburgers with fries are also offered. The highlight, however, is the cheese/meat platter with various ingredients, which is brought to the table on a wooden board. The different types of cheese from the Azores are explained to you. It was very nice and you almost felt like you were in the mountains, also because of the ambience and the cow wall poster.
So if you find yourself in Furnas, pay this place a visit. Almost an island within an island.”
