We went in and we were the only ones. We were served with friendliness and efficiency. We found it strange that the restaurant was empty and went to see the reviews. We were scared! Still, we stayed. We ordered an Alentejo-style fish and meat soup. Everything was very tasty and well prepared. The girl who waited tables and the cook were very friendly. We really liked it.

So the “stick” with squid and gambas was really delicious but the veggies were overcooked yesterday.. We were the only guests (but I didn’t check the reviews beforehand ?) but we got no service… We ordered the alentejano red wine but got a Douro red wine which tasted not good, also communication was difficult. After we finished our dinner, no one asked if we wanted desserts or coffee or even the check, the ladies were busy talking and watching telly. So the food was ok, but would definitely not recommend.

I really liked the fried eels I ate. They were delicious. But I noticed aspects inside the restaurant that show neglect and dirt. I'm talking about the ice bucket of wine that came to the table dirty. The menu is poorly presented with mica sheets, the waitresses are inexperienced and clumsy. Not to mention the prices are exaggeratedly high.

Very excessive price for the quality, 19 euros for a simple steak and fries, move on. Impossible to have a simple glass of Port or even a Martini, dessert just a cream and nothing else so really disappointed. Many other restaurants to do in the area, fortunately.
Starting with the cutlery that was sticky, the person in charge who was drunk and wanted to give training (in the form of a lecture in front of us) to the boy who was serving tables. I ordered a sea bream that came with its head completely broken, the potatoes didn't taste good and the vegetables were cold. Experience not to be repeated.
