A great place for those who like homemade and traditional Portuguese food!
The food was great and served very well, the portions were quite good and ideal for those who like to eat well ?. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the portion vs. quality.
The service was 5 stars, we were received with enormous kindness, both by the staff and by Sandra herself.
On this visit we ordered a traditional bitoque, stewed veal, oven-baked cod and spare ribs rice. We were given bread, olives, and some delicious cheese and ham for starters. The desserts were varied and available for self-service consumption. Everything was impeccable but our favorite was undoubtedly the ribs rice, which was a very pleasant surprise!
In short, 5 ?. If you are in the area, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant and terrace area is easily accessible by wheelchair. There is, however, a step at the entrance to the restaurant. The dining room is on the first floor, with no obstacles to movement.
⚠️ Please note that it is difficult to use the bathroom. As these are a little tight, and can be accessed through a narrow path, they may be difficult to use. The wheelchair does not turn easily.

In the art of hospitality, this restaurant is fantastic!! Super welcoming, friendly, humble, to the point where the food takes a backseat, but very good!! Sandra and her sister are exceptional people and make us feel at ease that makes us feel really good!! I'm just sorry we live so far away and can't go there more often!!

Good restaurant with good cuisine, good food and beautiful chef

Award winning Chef Sandra deserves her reputation and she is a loving hostess, combining no frills traditional food with definitely more refined sauces and ways of preparing traditional evergreens like lamb that fell of the bone, so tender. I was lucky to sample several litlle bites as starters and everything was of high quality, a full menu with a really decent house wine - all for only 15 €! I can only say it was TOO MUCH, a fact that did not hold me back from going twice to the yummy dessert buffet (a fluffy Molotof, rice pudding, crème brulée, patisserie... etc). Will be back in the remote hills in the Serra above Gouveia.
