We ate very well and the service was super pleasant. We ordered a dinner menu and they are super complete. We're even having breakfast for tomorrow. A success! The desserts are very delicious, especially the pudding.

Very unpleasant experience in this restaurant, I entered the restaurant room and waited for them to show me a table, 3 waiters passed me and neither good morning nor good afternoon, after 5 minutes I had to say to one of them Good afternoon and if it was possible to eat, A waiter then came and showed me to a table, I sat down and waited, I continued waiting and continued to wait 15 minutes for a waiter to come and serve me, I asked for rice and beans and panados, well the bean rice shouldn't be for sure and the super burnt breading, very well prepared, gentlemen, the first impression is that it remains, there is a lot to improve, not only in the service but also in the preparation of the food.

Homemade food! At an affordable price! ??
First time I tried this restaurant with the rest of the family and we all loved it.
The food was great with a full plate, the welcoming atmosphere, very good prices, and the employee's exemplary professionalism, which I congratulate, will make us come back again.
I highly recommend it!!!

An honest solution at a competitive price. Without great ambitions, but above average for the city of Guarda. And honestly, one of the very few that is open on Sundays in the city..

where to start??, I looked for a restaurant in the Guarda area and liked the reviews and score of the Mondego restaurant, I arrived around 12:30 pm, a lot of noise "full house and customers who don't know how to moderate the tone and height of their voice" quickly I was shown a table almost at the back of the room in the middle of it, with a dull glass separating us from the table on the right side, with a few tables on my left, I spent around 15 to 20 minutes to be able to place the order, a A couple who arrived shortly after me were entitled to "olive" starters, in my case, just the bread that was already on the table and they almost didn't order before me "I wouldn't have picked it up either".
We ordered ribs which were burnt and tasteless, with a taste of wine from the seasoning that mixed with the flavor of the slightly burnt meat, served with fries made from burnt oil and a little white rice, the other dish was a feijoada "almost flavorless", which contained 2 very small pieces of meat, 2 or 3 small pieces of "pork fat" leather, a very small piece of ear, some cabbage and beans and I think it was served with some rice.
There we ate our respective dishes, I think it didn't take us more than 10 minutes to eat the main course, we must have finished around 1:15 pm, around 1:30 pm there they remembered us and came to ask what dessert we would like, we ordered a pudding and melon, meanwhile the couple who had entered after us, had already had lunch and were finishing the desserts and already at the cafe, by 2pm tired of waiting and had been trying to call the waiters for a good few minutes (already probably 1/ 4 people occupying the house if that, they were already joking with known customers), there I manage to tell one to forget the desserts, I want the bill so I can leave, he asks what desserts they were and 5 minutes later the desserts are on the table, I I explain that I no longer want it and want the bill, they still politely tell me, oh eat that quickly, I refused again and said I was late. I got up to pay the bill, went to the counter to pay, where they apologized, they were always very polite and cordial and said they were short of staff in table service, I paid with the certainty that I will never go back to the O Mondego restaurant.
