DISHES PLACED ON THE TABLE BY BIT. VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE DESSERTS. MORE THAN EXCESSIVE PRICE COMPARED TO THE CONTENT OF THE PLATES.

Today we ate for the first time at the restaurant of the Trutalcoa fish farm located in ?Quadrazais, a small town in Portugal.

?‍??‍?The staff was overwhelmed by the amount of people and they have been very... very... slow when it comes to serving. But I must emphasize that they have been, on the contrary, very kind and respectful.

?The foodie experiences quite a "disappointment" in small quantities and the food has arrived cold at the table.

They have a meat menu for €19 and a fish menu for €17, the children's menu has almost been the best for €7 for a combined plate of chicken, French fries and white rice.

As a starter they offer fried trout with garlic which doesn't seem like a very good choice to me because the fish menu is composed of trout (trout with trout...you know).

The meat was picaña, which was not bad at all if it had arrived hot and the baked trout were unremarkable, pre-cooked potatoes and very normal desserts.

As positive points??  it is a pleasant place to spend the day, taking advantage of the fishing activity.

For such an exclusive place, it's a shame about the quality of the restaurant service.
Yesterday's bread, the meat menu (lamb/veal chunk) which came with picanha.
Too weak frozen fries, too thin and too little picanha.....
Value too high for service provided.

A very curious place, 100% recommended. What we ate was very delicious, fried and baked trout, also some steaks. They have three menus, one with trout, one with meat and one for children. Quite cheap prices between 13/15 euros. Good attention. The delicious desserts.
After eating they have an area to fish if you like, you rent the rods for 1 euro, they give you the bait and you can fish for trout, then you can take the ones you catch by paying by the kilo, in this case 8 euros.
In my opinion, a different and recommended place to have a good time, the area is very beautiful.

One summer (last) I wanted to know this famous restaurant for myself because I had heard so much about the food.WHAT DISILLUSIONS from every point of view.I had you alone, I waited a while (20m) to get an aperitif.I asked for a table for one.The response shocked me enormously, (WE'RE NOT INTERESTED IN ONE PERSON) so the staff were instructed to make the figure for the quantity of heads, not the head of the customer.I left empty-handed, I went to eat at ZÉ NABEIRO a few km away and there was nothing to say.A WELL HEARING.
