Excellent traditional and typical sweets but... Apple pie, the universal apple pie, since I haven't tried it in many years. Simple, on point, exquisite.
And the site. A journey to the most endearing past, which must be maintained

Portuguese cuisine among the Portuguese, nice atmosphere and typical setting. We ate the daily menu for barely €5 (main course + drink); a bacalhau with pdt and parsley chickpeas, excellent.

Food had a sickening taste and the attendant asked me why I was smelling my cake. Looks like I have a nose to keep quiet

Confectionery with tradition, well located, excellent friendly and fast service, for me without a doubt the best mille feuille de Guimarães, divine puff pastry and perfect texture, as well as the best tibia whether filled with cream or chocolate.
Very affordable value for the quality offered and the location.

I just had a snack there, a Guimaraes cake and a bottle of cold water. It was the first time I tried this typical sweet from the area, and I loved it. Also, the service was great. When I went to pay they charged me less (€1 or so) because I didn't have enough cash, it seemed like a detail to be grateful for. Great treatment, I recommend it.

Wonderful little place - from an American perspective it's kind of a cross between a diner and a cafe. Food has that family-owned single-location quality, like it's been made by the same owner-operator for decades. You won't leave hungry and it won't break your budget.
