Difícil aparcar, pero cerca está el parking de Camoes (a un precio insuperable)

On our one day trip to Guimarães, we looked for a place to have lunch. We were lucky to this hidden plan. It was fully packed inside. We sat outside. They have limiter seating though. The staff were very nice and friendly. Although with difficulties in language, we managed to make it work. We ordered tomato salad, sardines, octopus, bacalhau, and bacalhau cake. The food was extremely good except for one dish, which was the fried bacalhau. It was chewy and salty. I did not give the feedback on this to the staff because we were in a hurry at the end. It is a busy place, which probably explains that service was slow.

With all due respect… by far the worst service I have ever witnessed. We waited an hour to be served, the food arrived cold. When we placed our order after an hour of being seated, the waitress was extremely rude and said that she could not be part of our order, as she would have to stay until later. Worst service ever, everyone sitting at my table always spoke with respect, to which the waitress decided to raise her voice and expel the problems she brought from home on us.

Without a doubt the best place we have eaten during our Portuguese journey. Infinite variety of typical Portuguese dishes, in a format that lends itself well to sharing and trying different bites.
We ate well for a very affordable price. The soup, sardines and baccalau croquettes were delicious. A reservation about the octopus salad. The waitress spoke French and was lovely
