Two different individuals in Obidos recommended the restaurant. We were the only non locals until a couple from Asia arrived. It was a nice walk from hotel. I ordered the grilled squid my wife had one of the Steaks. Description of the steak, what she expected and received were different. Meat was tough. My squid was fine. Plenty of sides. Rice, French Fries, roasted potatoes, Broccoli and a small salad. We had the house wine, average, bit on sweet side. Shared caramel custard for dessert. Good consistency and flavor. Family owned business, they try their best and mean well. Dinner was a value proposition; 33 Euros, total bargain.
We were recommended to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I ordered the grilled fish and received a whole fish plus sides. Delicious. We arrived when it opened and it filled up quite fast. Service was lovely. Such a nice local feel.
We love this family-run restaurant and always visit when we are in Portugal. It’s a small restaurant and we are a big family so we always book. The cost is very reasonable and the food is lovely. There are always a good number of locals eating here. A good place to practice your Portuguese too as they only speak a little English. I can’t wait to go back.
Very good.Super service!!!

We stopped off here a few times while in Porto, very friendly service, good food and snacks, well worth a visit.
Bit of a hit & miss visit, my wife got a steak sandwich which was really nice and tasty. I ordered the Portuguese Sausage, not sure what I actually received, something akin to a soggy mess, it was not good. Maybe my order was confused in the translation. Its a nice enough place and I would say to try it, I think I was just unlucky.
We took a chance and tried them for breakfast. Bad decision. Mediocre bread and coffee, breakfast sandwich limp with questionable eggs, wilted lettuce. Piri piri bottle encrusted with crud. Server kind of blank but friendly. Very surprised we did NOT get sick. Get a bottled drink and let them open it before you. Enjoy the San Ildelfonso plaza view. That’s it.
Really liked this place - reminded my a lot of a Portuguese version of an American diner. Just good plain food, friendly people, and full of regular folks (we were the only ones speaking english) Ordered francesinhas, and was pretty good - not the best we had, but still very good. All the other items ordered were solid as well.
this week we have been to many restaurants and this is close to the most awful one we came because of pontuation and left desapointed, food was to well done also patatoes wer not good, we did not enjoy this lunch at all,.
We stopped here for lunch and a drink. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food, a Mediterranean salad and cold meats, was tasty. And lovely to sit outside with a view of Igreja Paroquial de Santo Ildefonso!

Not a tourist friendly restaurant. Limited seating and unfriendly staff. Although prices are higher, better eating experiences are find in central Óbidos.
2 Monkfish/Shrimp in Cream Sauce, Olives/Bread/1L Red Wine, 26,50€. Monkfish/Shrimp delicious, ample portions, varied menu with beef/pork/fish/seafood. Veggies/Potatoes a bit overcooked and mushy to PT standards - LOL. Recommended. Good service but not crowded, maybe 5 other tables, only 1 waitstaff (most likely owner).
It wasn’t all bad news. They were screeening CL football match and waiter helped me to a table with great view. However, it all went downhill from thereon. After a while got served a drink but then had to wait around twenty minutes longer than several groups of customers who arrived and were seated / ordered after me. Maybe I ordered the wrong meal but the Bacalhau that arrived was awful! It was rubbery, bony and bland. I had to leave it. Raised it with waiter who didn’t answer and charged me full price. So disappointing. Ruined my day. But thanks for being able to watch part of match.
Food was decent enough...not a "wow" .affordable. Quick and easy.typical Portuguese food, simple ,filling.
