Magnificent former convent transformed into an organic restaurant store.
They are organic producers and need our help.
The prices are of course more expensive than conventional as everywhere, but the quality and taste make the difference!
The bread is beyond excellent
Very very good, friendly and attentive waiter, very delicious food, a little pricey but worth a try.
Very nice restaurant. Organic creative food with personal and friendly service in a special environment.
Not really a good selection. A lot of things are already rotten. Not recommended.

Convent Bio Lagoa is a true gem that offers a dining experience like no other. Tucked away in an old chapel, the setting is as atmospheric as it gets, combining a touch of historical charm with a cozy ambiance. The staff here are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.The standout, of course, is the organic food. Creative, delicious, and beautifully presented, the dishes showcase a fantastic blend of local ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Whether you're looking for something innovative or vegetarian food done right, Convent Bio delivers! The real magic is how all these elements come together — great food, friendly service, and an unforgettable location. It's a spot I'd recommend to anyone looking for a special dining experience in Lagoa.
Delicious lunch
What a find. For food, very fresh and lots of lovely choices for vegetarian and vegans. Really good coffee and home made cakes. Tasty lunches and tonight we had a wonderful dinner there. The meal was superb, beautifully presented, delicious and so reasonable for what we had. Staff so friendly and very well catered for vegetarian as well as meat eaters. Loved the experience. Try it you will not be disappointed

I went for lunch mid-Jan. I ordered a juice at the beginning which was fine. I took the set menu. The starter was a soup with abóbora and spinach. This soup was very mushy. It made me think that it was not fresh and just re-heated from frozen. The spinach was so mushy that it made me think that they cooked it just before it went off; ie not very fresh at all. On top of that, it was just far too salty: Very unpleasant. The main course was cooked beans on one side and 2 pieces of chicken on the other side of the dish. To my horror, the beans was as well too salty whilst the chicken was ok. The desert was a small cup of jelly and that was not too sweet and as I like it. Overall, I disliked the saltiness. As I was very hungry, I ate it all. The service was good. My score is as follows: Food 1out of 5; Presentation 1/5; Service 5/5.
Superb meal in beautiful setting. Julia's knowledge of the history and food is amazing. Lovely evening. Thank you
Interesting project worthy of a more analytical visit
Went there with my family in mid Dec 2023.Was a shocker.Used to be great apparently. But the management got rid of their talented chef for some reason and now sells reheated food that is very overpriced.Even for London where Im from. I was shocked. My food was served cold. Venue had poor heating. Waitress was quite charming. Spoke good english.I hope they find a chef or hire the old one back though. Perhaps they can serve humble pie for dessert.Such ashame really.
Food was amazing, all organic!! The hostess was very good, recommended great dishes and good wine. The scenery is amazing, eating in a convent, such an experience this!
