Racist and terrible service. ignores customers even when they are not busy. asked to order multiple times but noone bothered to acknowledge. They were just busy chatting at the back of the cafe and saw me signaling to order but feigned ignorance.
we were the only asians and were not served. walked out without ordering. Never seen such incompetent and unfriendly staff during the entire week traveling around Portugal.

only rude people we encountered during our week long stay in lagos - asked for an ice cream that was advertised on the board outside, girl made a confused phase and just shook her said and said no then acted as if it was an inconvenience that we didn’t have a second choice lined up immediately. Gave her the money and then she asked if we had the cents - i started to look in my purse to which she rolled her eyes and walked away, once again acting as if it was an inconvenience. I understand staff is young, working in the heat till late but i have worked similar jobs and it really isn’t hard to not be rude to a customer. I have also been to MUCH busier ice cream kiosks around bigger cities europe and never encountered staff so impatient.

1) Dirty toilets 2) Terrible pastry (I tried the brigadeiro, docinho de coco ? ) 3) And if you are looking for bad service, be welcome. 4) (but) the ice coffee was good I must say.
I took a "Brigadeiro" and Orange cake and I don't recommend it, I cannot even say which one was the worse.

Has changed much over the 30+ years we have been coming to Lagos. Originally a simple restaurant with minimal emphasis on tourists catering for the locals but as the tourism has developed it has moved it's profile to support the younger element with waffles, bigger ice-cream and pastries/ cake selection. Always busy and a good place to stop off for a coffee,cake or a beer during the day. Reasonably priced.
