We booked in advance after looking it up online, when we got there it was almost empty and we questioned whether we should pick something else just in case. We are so happy we decided to stay. This turned out to be the best place in our whole trip and we came back for more on our last night. The reason for the few people is simple: they are only two people working in this restaurant, and they are dedicated to providing you with the best food and service. Therefore you have to book in advance to get a table, no way round it, because they want to be able to spread visitors out so they are not overrun.
This is an absolutely fantastic gem of a place. Fantastic service, great food, and the tempura-fried green beans was a whole world of flavours. Everything in this place tells of the owners dedication to good food and providing you with a good experience. You just need to book in advance and savour the exclusivity of being one of few people allowed to eat there for the evening.
Furthermore, for being so exclusive with the guest list it is very reasonably priced. And despite being one of the best meals we had, it was surprisingly enough also one of the cheaper meals.

[June ‘24] Quite a welcoming and kind people there, should you only come for that! However, be sure to book a table in advance to taste some delicious, home-made with love, Portuguese tapas. I definitely recommend this tiny restaurant for its relaxing ambiance and adorable staff; it’d be my daily canteen if I had the luck to live here in Lagos :-)

Reservation via WhatsApp is highly recommended as they only have eight tables. The service was on point and the food was lovely. The one guy (the owner, I think) who served all the tables was nice and took his time to explain the dishes even to the little kids.

Very small and cozy. The owner is very warm and super accommodating. Tip I would make a reservation as there are only 7 tables. An absolute insider tip are the beans, they are incredibly tasty.

Our favorite dining experience in Portugal. It is a small restaurant that has limited seating every night because there are only two people working there. They provide a great meal and friendly conversation. It's like you're over at a buddy 's house for dinner, and your buddy is a fantastic cook. Great experience all together. Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We ate 6 tapas and it was plenty for the two of us.
