A restaurant in the main tourist area of Lagos. The price is attractive at first glance, but the quality of the food doesn't keep up. The salad with lots of ready-made products was more of a side salad in terms of quantity. The famous Piri-Piri chicken was just a few legs with a cruel chilli sauce. The restaurant is recommended to enjoy drinks and atmosphere.

The staff are friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the food is of poor quality and it is an extremely touristy and crass place. Only one waiter in four understood English well. Starters and main courses were brought to us at the same time, the waiter offered to offer us something more to drink but not to take the dishes back to the kitchen, appearing almost intrusive. Unfortunately because of this the food also became cold and in general it was a very bad evening.

Even though I had reserved two weeks in advance, no table was assigned. My king prawns were cold and my wife's french fries weren't crispy. The sea bass was good as standard. The waiter wasn't really listening and was annoying. We had a view of the sea.

I do not eat seafood so I ordered the chicken with Piri Piri. It was very disappointing and did not feel as a good value for the price paid. My friends who ordered fish said their dishes were decent though.
Lacus is a wonderful place to eat situated on the main street in Lagos, the best town on the Algarve. The food is expertly cooked with a great selection and you are served by Sam and his very attentive team. There's a great selection of wines too and given its position, its excellent value for money. Recommended dishes are the steaks and any of the fish options. A great place to eat. The house red wine is exceptional and very well priced so there's no requirement to spend a lot of money. Enjoy your visit!

Food was mediocre. Cataplana with lots of vegetables, fish with lots of bones, 2 small potatoes in it. Waiters are quick, but not exactly friendly. Tables outside are very close together, you basically sit together with everyone. Not for us anymore...

The waiters were very friendly, but we ordered 1 monkfish cataplana and another seafood cataplana and they left a lot to be desired. Tasteless, only the pepper tasted, and the seafood was dry and flavorless. I don't know the rest of the menu, but cataplanas are certainly not their forte.
