Marina Bar 'Pub & Kitchen' (Marina Bar)

We were staying near the Marina Bar and in the past had been delighted at its location for an after dinner drink before heading back to our hotel or a quick afternoon beer before heading into the old town.

This year however, the opening times seem a bit inconsistent. We presented at both 23:30 one night and 21:30 the second night. On both occasions the doors were open and it appeared that customers were inside. On both visits we have been advised that the bar is closed.

On entering at only 21:30, some staff were sitting at a table and advised that they were closed. We asked when they close as the location is very handy and we would maybe return the next day (a third time!), however we were not really given an answer.

A bit disappointing, I understand not taking walk in customers close to closing time, but I feel that half an hour is at least enough for a quick drink (going by the google maps opening hours)? It is a shame that the bar seems to close so early, as other bars across the Marina appear to be open later.

We only had a salad with cheese, honey and walnuts. He was very good. Nice view of the harbor and very friendly service.

Lovely Bar / restaurant on the edge of the Marina. Happy hour daily from 3 to 6pm pints of Sagres only 2.50€. the food was really good, we had black pudding scotch egg, giant homemade sausage roll, pinko chicken strips and a portion of chunky chips, all excellent. The staff and service was fantastic. Really nice atmosphere and setting with lovely views over the marina, very dog friendly.
