“We had a lovely evening and the service was great and very attentive. The only thing that bothered us was one comment after the main course: we were asked about the dessert menu, to which we answered yes. The service lady then commented that we would be very hungry if we wanted to eat dessert now. It would have been wiser to recommend something to us and not give us the feeling of being “gluttonous”.
The food itself was good, the salt-crusted fish “Catch of the Day” was excellent. However, the side dishes were very weak. The vegetables were slightly overcooked and presented carelessly compared to the great starter, for example, and the sauce didn't have much flavor.
Nevertheless, the starter and dessert were very tasty and well prepared. We also particularly liked the fantastic olive oil as an amuse.“
“Very nice restaurant to eat in Lagos. Very nice staff and very good food. We ordered a cod and shrimp cataplana for two people, which was actually for at least four.
The garlic squid is recommended. And for dessert, the apple pie and the Algarve pie“

“Fresh and authentic cuisine. After trying our luck at a restaurant around the corner and unfortunately not getting a table, we asked the owner where he would like to eat. He recommended the Reis restaurant to us - the five of us just managed to get the last table. By 8 p.m. all the tables, inside and outside, were full and the line was getting longer and longer. Rightly so: there is fresh cataplana with plenty of excellent quality shrimp and mussels, and the rice stew with swordfish and shrimp was just as good. 40€ per dish for 2 people is almost too little considering the quantity and taste. Three people could be fed per pot. Our son (9 years old) had the pork steak with fig sauce - he ate it all, the sauce was so good and the meat was tender (he pushed the figs to the side ;)) We were very satisfied - the service was very friendly and accommodating. Great evening! (Total for 5 people with starters, main course and dessert + drinks 150€)“

“I have eaten many a pizza around the world and I can safely say this is without a doubt one of the greatest. This is my second visit in three days. The staff are amazing and the chef is super passionate about food. If you’re in Lagos come find this place. AMAZING
The homemade chilli sauce is insane
Parking: Parking right outside
Kid-friendliness: My child was made to feel very welcome“
“Absolutely fantastic tapas bar and wine shop. On the wine side - beautiful selection of mostly Portuguese wines with a few internationals thrown in, 2 prices to either drink in or take home and a good choice of chilled bottles if you’re in need of something quick. Tapas was great, would particularly recommend the stingray, even my 8 year old son loved it. Finally, brilliant knowledgeable and caring staff - i did have a corked bottle one night and they exchanged immediately. Was gutted they went on holiday for the second part of our break but luckily we stocked up!“

“I've been living in Lagos for over a year. I've visited various restaurants and cafes here, and O Mexilhão is my absolute favorite! Whenever I go to other restaurants, I compare them to O Mexilhão, and always, O Mexilhão comes out on top.
The food is delicious, and the menu is wonderfully curated, making you want to come back to try everything.
This is a family-run restaurant, with the chef and the manager being a married couple.
My personal favorites are the octopus with sweet potatoes (served with salad), fried calamari, all seafood and amazing tiramisu!
And as digestive drink, ask for almond liquor with lemon juice ?❤️
Vegetarian options: They have a separate section in menu for vegetarians. And you can always ask to customize your meal:)“

“If you’re around Lagos you must try this restaurant. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Service is excellent!!!
We had the “camarão frito” to start with and it was just the best prawns I have had in my entire life. We ordered another serve.
For mains we had “Lula grelhada” and “arroz de marisco” which was amazing.
Make sure you book in advance and/or arrive early because it gets packed.
Highly recommended!“

“The best is the waiter who served us, very nice and super attentive to the kid. Both the tuna and cod tartare are spectacular, as well as the braised tuna and especially the cheese board. But above all, the chocolate mousse. The hour we had to wait is highly recommended.“

“One of the best places to eat in Viana do Castelo. Eclectic and warm decoration. Three rooms, on the ground floor and street and a dining room on the first floor. The entire menu highly recommended, especially clams and mussels. Correct portions. A fairly extensive wine list from which it is advisable to take advice. Great attention, very friendly and correct. Professionals in the best sense of the word. A place to go to eat and be in a good atmosphere. To repeat, ...several times
Kid-friendliness: Personally it is not a "kids" place, but it does have a children's menu and very edible things for children. In addition, the attention is great (we went with three children) and they are attentive to what they may need. If you bring a chair or stroller, it is better to stay downstairs or at the door. But the ideal is to go enjoy the food and wine“

“Atmospheric family establishment. An elderly couple is working. My husband speaks English and takes orders. The menu includes local cuisine, seafood and meat. The place is small, everyone sits nearby, a very cozy atmosphere. With us, visitors played the guitar and sang songs. The dishes were delicious, as were the alcoholic cocktails. The price is quite affordable“

“The staff was very friendly. The food is incredibly tasty.
There was nothing to complain about.
What you should know before visiting the restaurant is that you can currently only pay in cash. The ATM near the restaurant is also currently out of service. ?“

“The restaurant is located outside the center of Lagos, in a quiet area. There are few seats and this helps to guarantee a quiet and relaxed atmosphere and a very attentive and quality service. The waiter who served us was very friendly and good at recommending wine. The food is exceptional. We took Muxama de atum (perfect contrast between the saltiness of the tuna and the sweetness of the onion and orange), Camarao frito con ajo (not the breaded fried food you think but probably just fried in oil, with very good prawns and a amazing sauce), patanillas de bacalao (good), polvo at low temperature with batata duce (very tender, with an excellent combination with sweet potato, perhaps the best octopus ever eaten, really delicious). Fair price for the quality offered. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.“

“We stayed in Lagos for 4 days and came to Mullens twice because it was so good. We ate the Piri Piri Chicken and Beef Mozambique. Both dishes were 10/10. The chicken was tasty and came with a delicious dipping sauce, freshly fried hand cut chips and a side salad. The beef was tender and spicy. The food cannot be faulted in any way.
The atmosphere was lovely — there was live music when we visited the second time. The first time we sat outside which was great and could see our chicken being barbecued in front of us.
Best of all the service is amazing. We got to know James a bit and he made the experience even better.
Thanks Mullens and see you soon.“

“The restaurant is inside a hotel. It has a very nice terrace with beautiful views. The living room is glassed in so you can also enjoy the surroundings. It is at the foot of 'Praia dona Ana' and can be reached by walking (via a walkway) to 'Ponte de la Piedade'.
The service is great and so is the food! The price is adequate.
A success.“

“They were incredibly friendly when we arrived at their restaurant without a reservation. They made room for us and set up a table for us right away. We ordered and enjoyed their cooking. They treated us great.
It started to get cooler on their terrace and they brought my daughters two pink blankets.
A detail. Thanks a lot!“

“Incredible food, both the fish (fresh) and the meat (juicy). A marvel. The atmosphere was very good and the staff were very attentive. The price was acceptable for the quantity and quality of the dishes. By the way, the dessert (fig cheese) brought back old memories of my childhood when my grandmother made such a delicacy. Congratulations“

“Fantastic restaurant/atmosphere and great guy who owns it. The steaks are absolutely amazing. Well worth having the fillet on the stone. We stayed for a week in the area and had three evening meals there, that's how good it is. Some of the negative comments here are a bit odd. Go to relax and enjoy, with a little humor. The service is as you would expect from a quality restaurant, not rushed and not slow. Cash only!“

“A restaurant with a fantastic product at a very good price. We ordered barnacles, Sapateira and oysters, everything was very delicious.
The service was very pleasant and very attentive, the only "but" we could find is the location, it is not the best to be honest, we stopped there because we were in Lagos and reviewing all the restaurants with the best scores, it is the one that caught our attention the most. attention.
We left very satisfied and would probably repeat if we were in the area.“

“Food portions are very big and very tasty. However, we waited a 40-50 minutes just to make an order. The waitress was really unmotivated, didn‘t even ask for drinks, although it was very hot. She didn‘t make an attempt to clean the table, which was dirty. Also, what is really disturbing, is the woman right in front with her artisan store. She sells all the time, screams and even tried to get us into her store, while we were waiting to be served.“

“We had dinner for the end of the walk, we ate very well, excellent value for money, very quick, attentive staff, available to help you with your choice even though we didn't speak English or Portuguese. I expressed the desire to be able to buy the small bowl where they had brought the olives and at the end of dinner I found it as a gift. I thank you infinitely for allowing us to spend a splendid and tasty evening with local food.“

“The dishes are delicious and of very good quality, and the service is impeccable! Thank you to our servers for being so warm during our stay at Costa D’Oiro Ambiance Village. A restaurant not to be missed if you are passing through Lagos.“
“We had a great evening there. The staff was very friendly and caring. You can watch the cooks preparing the dishes in a clean kitchen with fresh products. We had tuna with sweetpotatoe fries and vegetarian noodels in a sauce and of course some olives, bread, carrots with beetroot and so on as starters. Chocolate mousse as dessert is a must-try! The food tastes great and the price was very fair. We will definetly come back next year!“

“Excellent restaurant with homemade food and fresh products. Located near the tourist area, but frequented by locals. We ate octopus rice and octopus langareira. Two people can eat both portions, they are very abundant. The octopus was prepared wonderfully, tender and tasty. To take advantage of the oil from this type of preparation, we combined it with drained rice from the octopus rice casserole. The homemade dessert, chocolate mousse, also very delicious.Very good quality/price ratio. The personnel is very friendly.A highly recommended place.“

“Went there for the first time yesterday. Extra early because we didn't feel like looking at it for long, which is certainly possible. Prices for food and drinks are really cheap in comparison. What is a plus is that the toilets are extremely clean compared to other restaurants. We will definitely come back. ? ??. Unfortunately I have to take something off. On the third visit, most of the dishes suddenly became 2 to 2.50 more expensive. I also found it inappropriate that visitors came in wearing bathing suits, towels, tents, balls, etc. A pity, ...“

“Restaurant located in the Old Tawn of Lagos.
We ordered 2 Portuguese-style cod that came with potatoes and vegetables.
The first thing of all as soon as you arrive is that they offer you the typical basket of bread and on the other hand, butter, olives and cheese. If you consume it, they charge you for it (it seems polite but it is not).
The fish was good and in abundant quantity, although it is not the best we have had in Lagos during our stay; even though it was one of the house specialties.
Dinner was around 25 euros per person.“

“We loved this restaurant! Wanted a quick snack as we had a big breakfast so chose this tapas place. We had a nata mussels, the croquetas and patatas bravas to share. All were so tasty but the best part was the mussels because they were soooo fresh and chocked full of garlic. The service was really friendly and attentive.“

“Very good service
The waiters are exceptional in their care and treatment. We had been waiting for the food for 45 minutes, the place was full and we said so. They had not given us the order. At one point they brought us an appetizer and it was quick. Anyone has a mistake, and it must be understood. I mean service a 5, food is what didn't convince us at all:
Details:
- the grilled octopus we imagined something else. It is a COLD dish. They are grilled octopus legs, with some “crispies” (like a giant crouton). We don't find much sense in it being a cold dish, and having so much fried food in it. Also, for our taste, it was burned too much. I don't know if it's something from here. I attach a photo.
- Cod croquettes: little cod flavor. They put a lot of cilantro in it. I love cilantro, but be careful: it takes away the flavor of the product. Filling is more “apatatado” than a béchamel, it is more macacote.
- Tuna tartar: very good. It has sweet touches (apple), and bittersweet: red onion. You can see good tuna as a product.
- Stewed beef: we liked it. The sauce is very good, garlic, bay leaf, wine…. It wasn't bad at all
Because of our long wait, they treated us to dessert: creme brule. Very rich
It is a restaurant with waiters, attention and very good times. Very friendly. But in our opinion, we didn't like the octopus, and the rest was not bad but hey, we wouldn't repeat the truth. It also depends on what you are looking for.“

“Such a cute place! And the food was absolutely delicious! Had the chicken supreme and the cod fish and it was soooo good. A little sad that there was not a bigger crowd here because the place is adorable with all the decor and location and the food was phenomenal. The service was very attentive and kind. Why not come and enjoy this place. i hope more people can enjoy this place like we did. Definitely will come back!“
“Really great Irish pub! Staff very friendly, Guiness was great and they also offer Baby Guiness, which is always a plus! I think the only way to further improve the experience is if they'd offer Taytos in the future, but I'm also an addict, haha!“
“An unforgettable evening! We were worried that we might not like this wistful music. But that wasn't the case, we were just blown away. The two musicians and the two singers were simply fantastic and were able to easily fill the room without any annoying amplifiers or microphones.
For €25 we also got soup, bread, olives and a small plate of octopus salad or a kind of goulash. Other drinks were extra.
The staff was super friendly and very attentive. We will live on these memories for a long time, thank you Café Vádio!“

“We were glad to have stopped by this local family-run cafe for lunch! An authentic place with Portuguese crusine. However, on the salty side, but that seems common in Portugal

“Though it was a BBQ place. So it was a surprise when in. Bought some rice, lamb and pork. Food was really good. Simple, tasty and affordable. Food is ordered by kg. My bill was 17 euro. Fyi, this was basically stewed meat in a sauce. Would definitely recommend!“
“Amazing!! Fernanda was the highlight of my day. Her energy and kindness serving us well into the night, when they were planning to close. She lit up my night and every plate we ordered for the table was fantastic. The octopus rice was filled with flavor and the fish fell off the bones. I highly recommend.“
“I recommend trying the mojito or gin and watch the sunset behind the hills, with the traditional windmill as reminder of simpler times and pleasures. The cool breeze from the hills made our visit so much more enjoyable given the hot sunny weather of late. Great place to get away from the crowds at Lagos, and enjoy a traditional Italian thin base pizza.“

“This restaurant deserves all the stars in the world. The food is exceptional, a must try experience for everyone. It’s a symphony of tastes and colors, masterfully done. We had the chef’s menu and it blew us away. The staff were brilliant as well. They went above and beyond to create a memorable birthday for my partner. They brought champagne, an exquisite cake with a candle and they sang happy birthday. We got complimentary amuse bouche dishes as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting Algarve and wants to try a superior dining experience or celebrate a special event.“
