We loved the sardines so much that we came back in a couple of days again. Don't expect a fancy place. It's a very traditional, not touristic place with delicious grilled sardines. You pay a fixed value per person and you can eat as many sardines as you want. Salad and potatoes go as extras but it's normal.
We also liked their vinho da casa, it was fresh and complimented the sardines.
Disastrous service, you arrive and you don't know if you're going to be able to eat because they have no control whatsoever (They don't take notes or anything like that, you have to wait and good luck)
Its main formula is to eat grilled sardines until you're fed up at a cheap price.
I have eaten in Portugal in many places like this but in all of them they had control of the diners. My experience was quite unpleasant
a place suitable for those who don't like tourist restaurants. grilled sardines at will! the owner, apparently grumpy, goes around the tables handing out sardines! very pleasant evening!
