This review is for Lacus restaurant in Lagos that we visit a year ago.BLACK PEOPLE NOT WELCOME: I went there to have dinner with my family. When we arrived we were asked how many people were to be seated. A while later a group of black people with kids arrived at the restaurant and the manager told them they only served dinner (?seriously? ) and that they had to wait for a table. He didn't even ask how many were to be seated... There were tables available after a while but still, they weren't allowed to seat. The group lost their patience and decided to leave. At this point, someone from the group hollered an insult at the manager. The manager came rushing at them shouting and trying to beat them!!!! The whole scene was completely insane! He even threatened to get a knife. There were kids there!! This happened right next to my table where I was seated with my husband and our 3 kids (all under 6)!!FOOD AND PRICE: the food is average. The price is a mystery... For example, the menu stated: linguado, for 2 people, 60€ per kg. We ordered linguado and were told that it was small and that it was only for one person. So we ordered linguado for one person and some other dishes. The bill stated: linguado unit 60€. This is borderline FRAUD in Portugal.I'm never coming back to this place and I certainly do not recommend it! There are plenty of restaurants in Lagos. I'm not eating in one where people behave like this.
- Good Apple pie- good service- salad is litterally salad with onions.- Very bad mussels (not sickening bad, but No taste).- very average experience, nothing special
A nice, quiet experience. Good food.
We had the monkfish and prawns, but the fish was way too overcooked. The people next to us had the tuna steak which we tasted and was way too salty.Would not recommend eating here!
I ordered Peri-Peri Chicken and enjoyed it quite a bit. It came with a nice spicy sauce which definitely made the chicken better. They also gave a nice mint afterwards. A good choice if you're hungry.
That was a really bad experience. If you can just avoid this place. On the photo you can see "smoked salmon salad" which is kind of a joke. 10 euros for four slices of salmon on small pieces of bread. That combined with probably whole onion, a few slices of tomato and cucumber.Service was on similar level.
Very nice staff and the food was great. Recommended wine was very good as well. In the end we got a piece of pie for free because the chef wanted to try it out.
I tried the Polvo à Lagareiro and really enjoyed it. The doses are not big but the quality is good. The waiters are friendly though very busy.
Good place
