Popped into Pimenta, drawn by its great location and tempting prices. Ordered Sangria, expecting a traditional taste but got a sip of science instead – think Sangria with a twist of artificial sweetener! Great spot, but the drink was more chemistry than culinary!

Great sangria and people watching! The owner, “Fred” makes everyone feel so welcome! He also had some wonderful restaurant recommendations (given that we wanted a full Portuguese dinner experience).
I wanted to sit and have a cocktail after a day at the beach and the restaurant opposite refused to seat me because I was solo. This restaurant happily sat me at a table and provided friendly service. It also looked a lot cleaner than the restaurant across the street.

We went there 3 evenings for happy hour before eating. The caipirinhas and sangria are absolutely excellent! The prices are unbeatable.And we made friends with the staff (finally Portuguese people who run a place in Lagos!) who were very friendly on each visit.
