Fresh and authentic cuisine. After trying our luck at a restaurant around the corner and unfortunately not getting a table, we asked the owner where he would like to eat. He recommended the Reis restaurant to us - the five of us just managed to get the last table. By 8 p.m. all the tables, inside and outside, were full and the line was getting longer and longer. Rightly so: there is fresh cataplana with plenty of excellent quality shrimp and mussels, and the rice stew with swordfish and shrimp was just as good. 40€ per dish for 2 people is almost too little considering the quantity and taste. Three people could be fed per pot. Our son (9 years old) had the pork steak with fig sauce - he ate it all, the sauce was so good and the meat was tender (he pushed the figs to the side ;)) We were very satisfied - the service was very friendly and accommodating. Great evening! (Total for 5 people with starters, main course and dessert + drinks 150€)

It's always a challenge to find a restaurant with well-prepared and honest dishes, the Reis restaurant was a beautiful surprise. We ordered prawn and clam rice which was delicious, as was the pudding for dessert. Of particular note is the friendliness of the entire staff, we will certainly be back!

Restaurant located in the historic center of Lagos, in a street very popular with people walking in the evening. The cataplana (very similar to typical Adriatic broths) with clams, prawns, pork and boiled vegetables is exquisite. The quality of the fish was excellent and the seasoning perfect to make everything tasty. Impeccable service and the waiter Matheus deserves a special mention. Absolutely recommended

Really nice little restaurant tucked away on a street in Lagos. The service was perfect we couldn't fault a thing. We had the cataplana and it was excellent, exactly as expected. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try authentic Portuguese food. The recommendation came from our tour guide that morning and we were able to get a table without a reservation.
I recommend, it’s a place where you can find real traditional Portuguese dishes. The service is fast and the dishes are plentiful.

A spectacular site. Very good attention from the service. We took a cataplana with monkfish and prawns and another with pork and prawns for 4 people. They are very abundant and very good. The homemade desserts are also very good. Good value for money. Highly recommended.
