We went on Tuesday and ordered chicken in tomato sauce, with a mild aroma and impeccable texture. We find good and traditional Portuguese food at Prato Cheio. Vegetables with olive oil and garlic completed the meal, with the only downside being poor rice.

We loved it, 4 people went to dinner (my wife, my two daughters and myself).
If you want to eat Portuguese food at a good price, I recommend leaving the center a little (100% focused on tourists) and coming to this restaurant, it is very worth it, it is only 5 minutes from the historic center and the difference is notable.
There were only local people dining, the service was very pleasant and the food was delicious.
We ordered espeto de lulas (squid), swordfish, secreto, mixed salad and a homemade dessert.
I recommend it and I am sure that if I return to Lagos again, I will repeat.

Parking: It is not difficult to park in the area, and if you can't find it, just 100 meters away you have the esplanade next to the wall, where for a couple of euros a spontaneous valet will locate you ?

OPTIMAL! Recommended to us by a local boy and we liked it so much that we went back! The place is large, but always full, they managed to find us a seat outside both times (first dinner then lunch); If in doubt, it's best to book!
Definitely try the sardines, delicious and lots of them! The salmon is also excellent! Both served with a side of potatoes (delicious) and vegetables! The fish soup (appetizer) is also very good. The owner is very kind, and so is the waiter who speaks English/Spanish/Italian, and the service is very fast! Super recommended!

Only by appointment. Otherwise, if you are in a queue, everyone with an appointment will go ahead, without any kind of satisfaction. We waited 45 minutes (15 minutes until we were able to say that we intended to eat + 30 minutes during which at least 6 people went ahead because they had an appointment)
With two kids, maybe a mere word would be fine
We didn't wait any longer, because we had no idea how many more people had appointments.
As I said initially, either there is an appointment or my recommendation is AVOID!

Magnificent place to eat in a place that breathes Portuguese food from all sides. Unbeatable price with spectacular product quality. Fernando has been an amazing waiter with great advice.

Recommended 100%.
