We walked in with big expectations as the place & menu looked great, but we were extremely disappointed.
First, it felt like they forgot us at the table, served 2 tables that arrived after us before they saw us.
Our waiter wasn’t horrible but the waitress helping really didn’t look like she wanted to be there.
Then, they made mistakes with our order.
For some reason, the appetizers came out of order and we even got the oysters last (and the worst oysters we’ve ever had, taste like the sea).
The gazpacho wasn’t bad, the cabbage & anchovies were horrible, the octopus hot dog was good & the steak was decent.
On a positive note, the wine was amazing! My wife had a white & I had an orange we we both loved the wine.

It was a pleasant dinner, made up of very good and well presented mixed Tapas. They are all very kind and helpful, there was a bit of initial confusion with the dishes but nothing that makes this place not worth trying. The wine is excellent.

Three of us ordered most of the menu and they were all hits except for the ceviche. Nice selection of wines, lively atmosphere and excellent value.

Wine was overpriced for cheap and low quality bottles. Not all wine was natural, although we were told that all bottles are.
Food was mostly uneatable, even so it got fancy naming and serving. Most of it was undercooked or just misleading from description.
Service was terrible: table was sticky and after we asked to clean it, it became only more sticky, our wine was spilled on us, plates weren’t cleaned for the entire evening (even that all food was finished and table was full).

Price performance wasn't right for us, very small portions and was averagely good.

The whole experience was so great! The food was outstanding, and the orange wine we got (espera) was fresh and matched the food perfectly. Nice music, and extremely friendly staff<3 12/10 would recommend to a friend

Some great modern twists on traditional Portuguese food using entirely locally sourced ingredients. The staff were delightful, particularly when my wife accidentally knocked her glass of wine over and it was instantly replaced. Highly recommended

Restaurantji Recommends
The friendliness of the staff, the well thought-out menu and the good wine selection make a visit to this restaurant a highlight. The food is of a high standard and on a top level compared to many other restaurants in Lagos. I can highly recommend a visit.
Vegetarian options: There is a small selection of vegetarian dishes.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is at ground level with no barriers.

A small and very fine tapas bar in the middle of the old town of Lagos.
We hadn't chosen this place, but it appealed to us as soon as we saw it.
We were able to bridge the wait for a free table with a delicious glass of wine at the bar. The staff was very friendly and the food was simply delicious ? ❤️
Travia has a small but very diverse menu. And the wines are also highly recommended ☺️.
So if you're in Lagos and like tapas and like things small and nice, you'll feel at home here.
We recommend!

Recently dined at Travia in Lagos. The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable. Service was quick and polite. The food was well-prepared but not exceptional. We took the prawns, chicken, beef sirloin, cabbage, and potatoes to share. It was decent but lacked standout flavors. Wine was good and prices were reasonable. Overall, Travia is a decent choice, though there may be better options available.
