Visited in August 2024 for 3 times in one week of stay. This is not our first time on Pico but only this year we have discovered this quite hidden and mainly for hotel guests restaurant. And chose it over other restaurants that used to be good… All 3 times we were not disappointed, the must try signature dish is Telha de Polvo (octopus stew served in a shape of roof cover ceramic). It is just delicious! Fresh grilled fish is good too. For side dish, I recommend the traditional Portuguese Migas. As a bonus, location in the middle of Atlantic forest and beaches nearby are amazing too!

The photos of the dishes strangely do not correspond to what is sold there. Restaurant very far from being worthy of a 4 star. The most recent reviews on Google and TripAdvisor are no longer relevant to our experience at the restaurant (July 2024). To flee!!

The dishes are very simply prepared. For the price, a little more imagination would be conceivable. The location is a bit out of the way in a beautiful park including a hotel. Service is quick but not very attentive. Food is brought, but quality is not checked.
Overall, I would have expected a little more given the price level. I had fillet steak. It was supposed to be medium-rare, but was almost raw and only lukewarm. The meat itself was very good. So the impression is a bit mixed. Other guests' requests for a normal cup of coffee could not be fulfilled either. So it was a multiple impression.

Very weak mixed meat, there was sausage and two steaks that looked like they were from the supermarket when the island has the best meat there is. The beef steak wasn't bad.
