Lamego is beautiful (we didn't know it), and the experience could only be complete in a restaurant where we could feel and get to know the true soul of the people. Small, half/half restaurant: part of renovated places in a group (which for me is always a good sign) and visitors. Homemade, simple and honest food. We felt at home, even with the local retired neighbors at the next table, with whom we played, and it's not even our habit. Kindness, welcoming, practical sense and outstanding speed, even with limited conditions. Fried hake with bean rice (a daily dish, perfect for me), oven-baked cod. House white wine. 25 euros. We loved meeting you. Don't give up on authenticity! Thank you and see you one of these days; )

I went to try it because based on the reviews, it seemed like a reasonably good restaurant, but it was quite disappointing. The roast veal for €9.50 was very poorly served and the meat was tough. The baked potato that looked more cooked. And the restaurant should be renovated, it doesn't have an ATM and the invoice is still manual, that is, by receipt.

Everything was wonderful! Tasty food, very homemade seasoning! We ordered delicious cod, veal, a jug of wine and, for dessert, a breathtaking chocolate mousse. Guys, how perfect!I was sad because I saw a lot of negative comments and, from the experience I had, I can say that I would recommend it and come back thousands of times. Not to mention Mr. Sebastião's service... he was super cordial and we still had a long chat at the end. The bill was €35 which I thought was super fair!
