I have never been treated so badly in my life. The cold coffee and the most unfriendly waitress could not have been. Not recommended. They do not accept card payments.

We went for a drink and after waiting for a while it turned out that they only accept Portuguese credit cards. Since we didn't have money they told us to go to the ATM which didn't have money. After a while of running about 10m to the car and getting €4, the waitress took a coffee from us that cost 80cts and put the machine on for us to pay. I don't recommend going at all because of the bad treatment and also the coffee was pretty bad.

We had already eaten a bola de lamego at another cafe and were not impressed. So we were thinking of ordering only cakes and pastries when we went to Pasteleria da Se.

But after seeing several locals ordering literally dozens of boxes of bola de lamego for take away, we decided to do the same. We are glad we did! Very good bola!

The cafe gets busy but the woman at the counter was helpful and smiling. Nice to see too that they use a cash machine - hygienic that the women handling the food are not touching money.

Note they only use Portugese cards or cash.

Disorganized service and tedious waiting time. They say there is no bread in a bakery (which leaves something to be desired).

It should be noted that the toast was burnt and covered in butter, completely inedible! I would like to add that the abatanados (2) were taken from the same handle, which made the taste of these taste like shocked water.

Good display, service leaves a lot to be desired, I spent 10 minutes waiting for service and left without taking anything. Foreigners were more important than the Portuguese.

I don't speak a lick of Portuguese, but the counter worker helped us through our order of two savories, two sweets, and two drinks. The whole thing cost $10. The food was delicious. There was a line out the door nearly the entire time, of locals coming to get a traditional pan dish.

Recommend you try it.
