I visited Mamma Bella today with positive expectations, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing...
We had called the restaurant in advance to reserve a table for three. We received reservation confirmation over the phone, which left us at peace about our lunch. However, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that all the tables were occupied because a lot of customers arrived and they lost control of the number of tables.
The employee seemed disorganized and, instead of resolving the situation, left us waiting for some time without offering any viable solution or sincere apology. Even after waiting, they were unable to accommodate us and we ended up having to look for another place to have lunch, which was extremely frustrating and inconvenient.
There was clearly a lack of better organization and communication between the team.
I hope Mamma Bella management can take steps to improve the reservation system and customer service.

Colorful space with a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Olive oil and garlic bread is always an excellent starter option. The menu includes oven-baked pasta and pizza, including vegetarian options. Good quality - price ratio. If you need to go to the bathroom you will have a funny surprise.

Good food. However, the dish of the day pizza is small but well filled. They don't have Coca Cola Zero or other sugar-free drinks.
Slow but very friendly service. At lunch, completely full, it got a little hot.
I will come back again for an economical and friendly meal.

Fantastic food, great service and generous measures of port, highly recommended. We're were here for a week and came here twice (so far!) staff are amazing and food is lovely. Prices are keen, highly recommend the Verde pasta and the panna cotta de cafe e caramelo salgado, oh, and the Porto branco! ??

I've been to this place a few times now and it has never disappointed. The garlic bread is excellent and the food is incredible. We had lasagna and the carbonara pasta. The sangria is so good I'd consider it dangerous! It is so flavourful that you'll forget its an alcoholic beverage. It really does just flow super easily.

I've been to this restaurant several times for a few years now. It was good with very friendly service and unusual (low) prices given the quality presented. The decor remains the same, cheerful and colorful, the space is small but welcoming. The food lost its quality. I ordered a pasta that was medium so it wasn't too unpleasant. Full of oil and the meat loaded with cumin. The other dish, a pizza also with cumin. The flavor and presentation were poor. The drink was cold tea which was delicious. For dessert, a fantastic, homemade and delicious panna cotta. A negative note for the service, friendly but a little inconvenient. Making a repair so that they pay attention. While we were having dinner they decided to clean the tables, using a product like “Ajax” that left the smell of a clean bathroom in the air. They did this right at the table right next to us and that smell came to our noses while we were eating. Please don't repeat this as no one wants to eat with a whiff of detergent in the middle of a meal. The price is not what it used to be, it is still cheap, but for the quality presented it is not worth paying too little. I prefer to pay more and eat better. They may improve as it is a restaurant with history in Leça da Palmeira.
