“Lovely place! Our visit to Lessa made our trip to Porto complete, such love for food, beautiful signature dishes, layerd taste, fresh ingrediënts, bold flavours combined with soft textures and surprising elements that either melt or explode in your mouth. Great taste, incredible refinement in food and wines! And great staff, they are all sweet, seriously skillfull and passionate people! We absolutely recommend this treasure.“

“Excellent!
Well prepared dishes, with one very small flaw! Sufficient quantity.
The "almost" perfect sea rice!
Very professional staff, attentive, friendly and very willing.
The room is large and quiet.
Price, although a little high, is still almost fair.
I will definitely go back and recommend it without a shadow of a doubt.“

“My Portuguese business partners recommended this restaurant for our dinner tonight. We took an Uber, which initially brought us to the original location. However, we were dining at the newer restaurant next door, which has updated decorations and a cleaner look. We were seated on the second level in a semi-private dining room without a door.
We ordered a variety of special croquettes with fish, crab, and shrimp fillings, which are unique local Portuguese dishes. The Spanish jamon was delicious. We also ordered crab, but the roe had been removed and blended with spices into a paste, served on biscuits. This tasted average, as the crab flavor was not very prominent.
One of the special crustacean dishes we tried was Acorn Barnacle (Cracas), a cousin of the goose barnacle. Harvesting these barnacles is dangerous since they cling to rocks, but they are considered a delicacy. Although they look unappealing, they taste incredibly delicious.
We also shared steamed scallops, which were tasty. For the main course, we had grilled giant corvina, freshly caught. The fish was prepared in two ways: the roe was cooked with herbs and could be spread on bread or eaten on its own, while the rest of the fish was fried and served with lemon sauce, making it very flavorful. The dish came with sides like boiled special vegetables and rice, which had a strong taste that might not be to everyone's liking.
For dessert, we enjoyed a good spread, including a half-cooked sponge cake with egg yolk and sugar inside, which was a bit too rich for me. We also had cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. A word of caution when ordering port: ask for the price beforehand. The port we had was quite expensive per glass, equivalent to the price of a whole bottle at the airport!
The semi-private room provided a good ambiance for business discussions, but unfortunately, a group of families with many children running, dancing, and shouting around made the dining experience very unpleasant.“

“Certainement un des meilleurs restaurants de poissons du coin. Tout est très frais. Les cuissons sont parfaites. De vraies palourdes et non pas des palourdes surgelées. Un service efficace. On y croise des gens du quartier et des habitués. Un très bon moment passé pour les 90 ans de notre mamie. Nous y retournerons.“

“Exceptional service from two Brazilians, who upon arrival offered us a complimentary vegetable cream and breaded cammenbert with red fruit compote, which is simply delicious. Next we ordered a Valencian paella for 2 people but it actually serves 3 people easily.
And finally a banana pie (Bannofe) which was a spectacle. Rating 10 for the boss!!!
The atmosphere is beautiful, rustic, soft music.“

“Cozy space with beautiful views of the sea.
Staff very friendly and attentive to the customer.
You can enjoy the interior or stay outside contemplating the sea, while enjoying a drink or something else.
It has daily dishes or a menu. The salad and chicken weren't bad at all, the lunch was very tasty.
They have wonderful drinks, without alcohol.
If you're lucky and it's not summer, you can find a place to park, as the lot is quite large.“
“Met with Sandra the owner in the front part of the restaurant, husband was cooking. Delicious tapas and entrees, with excellent inexpensive wines from all over Portugal. Sandra was so kind to spend quite a bit of time explaining their menu and backstory. Excellent find north of the bridge near the beach.“

“We ordered roast beef, Zé do Pipo cod and fillets with seafood sauce. Everything's good. The doses are very large. One dose is enough for three people who eat well. We and the people at the two tables next to us took home what was left.“

“Um restaurante obrigatório para quem gosta de um peixe bem fresco e de uma boa açorda. Atendimento de alta qualidade e um ambiente seleto mas descontraído ao mesmo tempo. Excelente para jantar numa boa noite de verão. O peixe é feito na brasa no exterior. Aconselho também a carne de porco a alentejana e todo o marisco que é de altíssima qualidade.“

“This place has all the options you want. Sit in a verandah over the bay, or a deck or in the restaurant behind if it’s winding and you want a view with quiet. Have eaten here twice in the last 8 years. Cod, potatoes and veggies/salad is good and local.“

“Do you like tapas? So this is a good restaurant to indulge in these delicacies. I recommend Tainada which comes with a good choice of several tapas for 40 euros for two people. There are several tapas including sausage rolls in phyllo dough with onion jam, various cheeses, dried fruits, grapes, mushrooms, padron peppers, mini francesinhas, roasted chorizo, etc. all tapas are delivered at the same time on a board. The wine list starts at 8 euros, which is an excellent option for those who don't want to spend a lot. The space is super welcoming, very well decorated and has lighting that creates an intimate and comfortable environment. The icing on the cake is the service. It couldn't be better, very friendly and fast. I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and I will always return because the quality of the food and service is fantastic with an excellent price-quality ratio above average.“

“I dined alone for lunch and found my server, João, to be delightful in spite of a slight language barrier. His service was kind, timely, and helpful. The restaurant has a bit of a formal feel, but it didn’t deter me from trying it out on my own. In fairness, there was no Couvert brought to the table without my permission, and really - a note to the other reviewers: know the county and practices in which you are dining! You have every right to decline the Couvert! As for the meal, the filetes de pescada 1/4 dose was more than enough for me, and the fish was delicious and fresh. The accompanying tomato rice was unremarkable; this and the feijoada that often accompany fish in Portugal are often just too soupy and bland for me. Again, it wasn’t a disappointment; I knew what to expect.I would suggest to the owner some better choices for wines by the glass with a restaurant of this caliber. I thought the prices were comparable and fair, except for the Irish Coffee I had after my meal. It was, indeed, the best I have had. But 9€ when my wine was 3€?!? That seems like robbery.Overall, a good experience, made even more so by the service of Joâo.“

“Nice place next to the beach and polite staff.
I only hated two details: the fact that a customer came in and shouted without any level on the terrace... People were looking at the stupid man and the guy wasn't ashamed. I even asked one of the employees if this individual was the boss, because it seemed like he was in his house.
Then, another situation that I hated is letting a drugged usher come in and ask for money from customers sitting on the terrace. The administration should have more control over who accesses the place, so that it does not become a place for troublemakers.“

“As for this restaurant, the building itself is a monument. It has such a nice interior in a perfect location right by the sea. You can see the outside through the large window, but I couldn't see outside because I had dinner. There are 22 course menus, of which we ordered 7 courses. All the dishes were perfect, but the prawns and cod were especially good. Our expectations for a Michelin two-star restaurant were very high, but this restaurant perfectly met them. Also, they gave me a tour of the kitchen before desert, which was also a very interesting experience. They gave us a tea as gift when we left. Strongly recommended.“
