Very charming Portuguese tavern in central Lisbon, Service was fantastic. But the food was the highlight. Highly recommend arroz de polvo, bacalhao a lis and polvo a lagareiro. Our meal with a bottle of wine was inexpensive. Definitely recommend it!
Good quality food from what appears to be a family run business. Our meals were fantastic and all the other food being served looked equally delicious.
The best food we had during our trip to Lisbon. Everything was delicious.
Friendly and enthusiastic staff, succulent food. Taberna do Lis turned out to be a cosy, tastefully decorated small restaurant. Our waiter gave us enthusiastic and detailed explanations about the dishes on the à la carte menu and the various wines. My husband chose the Bacalhau do Lis, which turned out to be superb, I had the Leitão á Bairrada (piglet from de Bairrada region), which had a tasty crispy crost and tasted great. We both had a yummy and light chocolate mousse. We had a half liter still water an I had one (large) glass of red wine, also from the Bairrado region. We were happily satisfied by our meal. A word of caution: if you have a larger appetite then we had, be aware that portions are uncharacteristically small for Portugal. You’ll want to order a starter before your main dish.
A very nice and exquisite experience. The staff was very helpful in our choice. Stayed at the hotel and also had a 15% discount
The food was amazing, the person who served us was very patient he answered many questions & explained the menu & made some recommendations. We had a lovely evening from start to finish.
The best meal of our trip. The young waiter was an absolute delight. He was able to recommend to us a fantastic wine and also the dishes that he thought we would like based on the information we gave him. We were not disappointed at all. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection and the wine was a perfect match for our taste. We enjoyed three courses and not at any point were we rushed. The restaurant was busy yet the service was not affected by this at all. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
1st night in Lisbon, and found this excellent restaurant. We sat outside and between 4 of us we had a bottle of white wine (Casa da Urra Branco 2021), and shared octopus salad, a veal dish, oysters, Clams, bread/ butter, marinated olives, and shrimp salad. The service, food and price was exceptional. Atmosphere was very open with lots of people walking and shopping. portion sizes were good sized for appetizers, and the wine was perfect for the food.
Very good food in a friendly atmosphere and professional service.

Lovely restaurant and lovely staff. Food excellent. Thank you so much!
Food was delicious and of good portions. Enjoyed our meal.
Had dinner here. Sea bass was good but vegetables were very inferior quality. Two dehydrated potatoes. Irish prices but quality not good at all. Shocked and still hungry.
Lovely lunch and great value. We came across the restaurant whilst sightseeing around Lisbon and were not disappointed with the food. We both had the fish special of the day, which was sea bass served with baby potatoes and mixed veg of courgettes, broccoli and cauliflower, delicious. We also had a side salad which was very good. Service was good and we will definitely go back for another meal.
Visited early in the evening so it was easy to get a table. The service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Great food and substantial portions. Overall, good experience and we will be back!
