This was a nice restaurant my friends took me to for dinner. The fish was well made and there was a large pot of black stew which was really good! I can't remember the name of it because they ordered it for the table.

Fantastic experience in a place where there are very few tourists.
The neighborhood may seem run down but instead I saw several nice restaurants.
The service was impeccable. I would have given a significant tip to the waitress who explained the entire menu to us in Portuguese/Italian (Lusitalian)... unfortunately I didn't have cash.
Very good food with generous portions.
Highly recommended!

An excellent restaurant, where well-being begins at reception, the food is delicious and the service is very friendly and cordial.
This restaurant is in the old part of Alcântara.
The manager, cook, employees are to be congratulated
Mr. Carlos is an attentive person, it is usually necessary to reserve

This was by far the best meal I had in Lisboa. The staff were so friendly and welcoming - we both practiced our English and Portuguese :) the octopus rice was incredible. Excellent price/portion/quality ratio. And very local. Muito obrigada to the team at 50 Maravilhas !!

Delightful place and friendly staff serving traditional Portuguese dishes in generous portions. The staff make non-Portuguese speakers comfortable by explaining every dish in English and providing some context as to its geographic origin. The deserts are not to be skipped, even if you’re full already. How happy we were to have picked this place. Open on Mondays too!

Great Portuguese food with a really great boss who explained the menu in detail. Really, really good. Super recommended. Very nice and not at all superficial.

Restaurantji Recommends
Despite the variety of traditional Portuguese dishes, some of the ones we ordered were not served in the best conditions. The Secretos had portions with a strange flavor, as if they weren't in the best conditions and the Alentejo-style pork had too much oil.
Which is a shame, because the well-decorated establishment has a good atmosphere.
Parking: Situated in the middle of Alcântara's narrow streets, parking is difficult. Uber, taxi or public transport recommended

Very nice Português restaurant. We ordered squids, codfish, porco de alentejano, with loads of starters including sausage cheese and olive. Without alcohol costed 25€ each.
Definitely a good option in the hood if you’re craving a Portuguese style food.

Excellent dishes, with plenty of options, very friendly service and more than fair prices considering the quality of the food. It is an unpretentious restaurant, with a family atmosphere, which is truly worth the food.
